When Anabel finally awakened, she saw Misty and Eevee looking at her in worry. She laid up quickly and she groaned in pain. She looked down at herself. There was a small scar on her stomach and it had healed while she was sleeping. "What happened?" She didn't remember anything about that night.

"You got stab, but a wild Caterpie saved you before the wound got deeper. Unfortunately, the pokémon couldn't save you fully. It's at the Pokémon Center healing up.

"Water." Anabel groaned out. Misty quickly gave Anabel some water. Damn it! I couldn't protect her! Misty thought. She was angry with herself.

"Vee?" Eevee asked Anabel. Anabel nodded her head.

"I'm alright, Eevee." Anabel tells Eevee, who rubs her head against Anabel's chin. Anabel giggled. Misty gave Anabel a bottle of pills.

"You're cleared, but the doctor wants you to take these." Misty says, looking down slightly.

"Please, don't feel bad. You've done your part." Anabel says, getting up from the bed. Ahh. I have to tell Mom and Dad. She thought, walking to the Pokémon Center with Eevee on her shoulder and with Misty following her.

When she got to the Pokémon Center, Nurse Joy ran over to her. "How are you feeling?" She asked. Anabel smiled a bright smile.

"I'm fine, now. Can I use the phone?" Anabel asked with a polite tone.

"Of course." Nurse Joy responded sweetly.

"Thank you." Anabel whispered. When Anabel went to the phone, she called her mother, who answered the phone quickly.

"Sweetheart! What happened? You didn't call for a month!" Her mother was worried. What? A month? Anabel was shocked at this news.

"Well, actually, I was..." After Anabel tells her mother the entire story, her mother was angry.

"At least, you're alright, now." Her mother wasn't calm by far, but her daughter survived with one physical scar and probably one mental scar.

"Yeah. I will journey to Pewter City and challenge the gym leader there." Anabel tells her mother.

"Hmm. That's good, but catch you some friends. More pokémon will be fun, don't you think?" Her mother asked. Anabel giggled in embarrassment.

"Yes, Mom." Anabel agreed with the woman. They hung up and Eevee looked at Anabel in confusion.

"Vee? Eevee?" She asked. Anabel smiled at Eevee.

"She was saying that more pokémon would make the journey fun." Anabel tells Eevee, not noticing that she actually understood Eevee.

"Vee!" Eevee tells Anabel happily.

"True." Anabel responded. Misty was shocked at the young girl understanding her pokémon, but she didn't comment on it.
