MEANWHILE, AT MOUNT OLYMPUS
"Go away, Aphrodite. I have no need of your nonsense called 'love'." Athena muttered with a scowl. The goddess of love and beauty was currently bombarding her with questions like, "Do you think Pipabeth will reign?" And such. Athena was getting tired and impatient because of it.
"You're only saying that because you're a maiden goddess. Ah, if only you could experience the wonders called 'love'. Otherwise, I would've actually enjoyed your presence." Aphrodite said with a small smirk. Athena growled and took a step back. "I'm only bearing your presence because of my daughter. If she weren't with your daughter, I would have already-!"
Aphrodite clicked her tongue abruptly. "I'm afraid you cannot deny it, goddess. Anyways, what do you really think about Pipabeth?" She asked. Athena rolled her eyes. "Would you stop using those ridiculous names?" She asked. The love goddess shook her head 'no'. "Athena, those are ship names. In other terms, names you use to call couples." She explained with a "duh" tone.
"I don't care, Aphrodite, what makes you think I care?!" Athena snapped. "You care about your daughter, don't you?" Aphrodite asked. "O-of course I do, Aphrodite, what kind of question is that?!" Athena lashed out. Aphrodite put her hands up. "Alright, then, Athena, I was just telling you." She said with a small smirk. The goddess of wisdom took a deep, calming breath. "Listen, Aphrodite, I do not care about your little love shenanigans, nor do I care about what you think about it. So unless you want me to give your daughter a curse of some kind, then I expect you to stay out of my way." She said, clenching her fists.
"Ooh, what's going on? A fight between Aphrodite and Athena? Nice."
The two goddesses whirled around to face Hermes. "STAY OUT OF THIS!" They snapped. He shrugged and went on his way.
"Well, I expect if that happened, your daughter wouldn't like that, would she?" Aphrodite asked, gritting her teeth. "I- Well, maybe she wouldn't, but- That was just a warning for you, Aphrodite, and if you keep doing... that," Athena gestured to Aphrodite winking at her. "I will hurt you. Because one, that is just wrong, and two, I am a maiden goddess. What is so hard to understand about that?!" Athena asked.
Aphrodite shrugged. "Oh well. At least acknowledge the fact that I finally got them together. They were seriously so slow and so oblivious to the fact that they loved each other! I mean, it was so obvious! Be glad I made them kiss, you know what I'm saying?" Aphrodite asked, looking at her nails. Athena groaned, but disdainfully nodded. "....I suppose they were a bit slow in understanding their feelings." She admitted, gritting her teeth. "Oh, I wouldn't question that. It's probably because one of them is a daughter of yours." Aphrodite said.
"I- Hey! You better take back that statement, or else I will-!" Athena growled. Aphrodite was already scurrying away from her. "Oh, I've got you now, you foul goddess...!!" She said, stalking towards her.
Meanwhile, still watching, Hermes scratched his head. "...I mean, that was pretty interesting, but what is wrong with those two?" He wondered aloud.
"I HEARD that! And you're next!" Athena yelled from afar.
Hermes started running.
Hope you enjoyed. I'm just waiting for a time to update a proper chapter, and this is just a filler to let you know that I am still alive. So yeah.
