Wasn't it just any ordinary day?

I spent my day like I always did and expected it to end that way as well. Walking past a bunch of strangers I knew nothing of, I expected to go home soon and watch a bunch of cat pictures till I eventually fall asleep.

I knew he was the last thing I expected to see.

"H-H-H-" I pointed at the man, shocked beyond words. My eyes wide, my face looking like I just saw a ghost, and my hand struggling to be steady instead of shaky.

I was unable to even say his name. I just stared at him with shock and confusion. I couldn't believe my eyes.

He looked back at me, his finger pulling his mask down to reveal his face and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Sua?"

He spoke, meaning he's real. "Hoseok!?" I accidentally shouted.

He immediately placed a finger on his lips and shushed me. He cautiously glanced around before making his way to me.

"I can't believe it. It is you!" He showed a toothy grin.

"I'm- I'm" My voice refused to make out all the words running through my mind. "H-How..."

He chuckled. "I'm just as surprised as you are, but at least I can form words."

I narrowed my eyes. "I see you're still the same." I said. "I haven't see you since high school! Or at least before tenth grade."

"I know! It's been so long!" He exclaimed. "You know, I almost didn't recognized you. You look...different."

"Oh, yeah I dyed my hair. People say I look way different from when I did before." I said, gently stroking my hair as he smiled that signature heart smile. Well, I guess somethings never change. "So an idol, huh?"

"Huh?" He seemed lost for a moment before he realized. "Oh yeah! Right! Oh no, I forgot. We can't talk here in the middle of the streets."

"I understand." I smiled. "Hold on, Let me give you my number." I reached in my pocket to grab his phone

"And I'll give you mine." He smiled and did the same.

We exchanged phone numbers before looking up at each other.

I must say, he got much taller than he was before. I didn't used to be this shorter than him to the point I had to look up to meet his face, which is sort of a bummer.

I looked into his eyes behind the glasses, the same bright eyes. He looked into mine. I thought about how much my feelings for him have faded away since he left, now I don't feel any sort of emotion other than friendliness when I'm right infront of him.

"Sua?"

I blink to realize Hoseok was waving his hand infront my face. "U-Uh yeah."

He took back his hand and smiled warmly "I better get going before a fan catches me. I'll see you soon?"

"Mhm." I nodded before he waved and walked away, fixing his mask back on. After walking a bit far, he glanced back and waved once again. Even though he was wearing a mask, I could see him smiling from ear to ear.

I, on the other hand, was still processing what just happened and wondering if this was just a dream. I pinched myself to check if I was dreaming or not and, I hurt myself by pinching my cheek too hard.

"Ow." I muttered to myself.

What are the odds of me running into him in the middle of the streets?

I turn around, ready to go back to the apartment and take some rest. Except, for some reason my heart was banging against my rib cage as I reach up and place my hand on it. I inhaled deeply, and have off a sigh of...relief?

At that moment, I felt something soft, something white and tiny fall to the ground, right past my eyes.

That one snowflake was followed a hundred more, falling slowly from the dark clouds. I look up to see a beautiful and mesmerizing view of small dot-like snowflakes swirling down towards me.

I smiled warmly.

This indicates the true beginning of winter.

I took the key out of the keyhole and opened the door. Yikyung was on the couch -the other side of the couch, away from the muddy stain- and looked up from her phone to me. "What took you so long?"

Probably shouldn't tell her. "I had some trouble finding Heeji and Minsoo." I closed the door behind me and looked at Yikyung who had an eyebrow raised which scared me since she might not believe me. "I'm starving. Is there anything to eat?" I said, changing the subject.

"Yup, I made dinner. Although, I ate mine already since you were taking so long." She flicked her head back at me with another suspicious glare.

"Aha, no problem." I nervously speed-walk to the dinning table. "Oh and Heeji is having dinner with Minsoo."

"What a surprise!" Yikyung said sarcastically and rolled her eyes before continuing to tap in her phone.

I quickly ate dinner and went to my room, as I had nothing else to do. I laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling as flashbacks of my encounter with not only my high school crush and friend, but also one of the biggest Kpop stars out there.

Just thinking of how he was my crush made me bang my head on my hands in embarrassment.

I started recalling every single word he said to me today, as if I want that moment to replay once again.

I get up from my bed and walk to my closet drawer. I open the drawer and rummage through everything in there to the very back where I found a familiar thick, green book with blue colored patterns of trees and a few stickers of colorful stars attached to it.

I open a random page on my diary and start reading it in my head.
