"You okay there, Sua?" I hear a soft, familiar voice. I flick my head to see Heemin, the school's dance teacher. "You seem a bit down lately."
I purse my lips and hop on my feet, a smile on my face. "Nothing at all, do you have class now?"
Heemin nodded. "In a few minutes." She paused. "You know, I noticed you come to the dance room after school much more than you used to."
"I'm sorry, am I bothering you by doing that?"
She shook her head, her kind, brown eyes staring back into mine. "Not at all," She said as I sighed in relief.
I look at her, wondering if she was about to ask me about whatever is going around in the internet on Hoseok and I. "Do you know about it?"
She nodded, an apologetic expression on her face "I'm aware, is that why you're so gloomy these days?"
"I guess you can say that," I said. "I don't know how it happened. It was one small mistake and now everyone is misunderstanding the situation."
"I'm no fan of this Bangtan group so I won't start interviewing you unlike Ms. Soo -the maths teacher- who went crazy despite the fact that she's like ten years older than the guy." I chuckled as she walked towards the bench, motioning me to sit down with her hand. "You should probably do something about it, I mean if I were you, I wouldn't be able to stand being in this situation."
"I'm still thinking of what to do, though." I shook my head. "Don't worry, I'll figure it out!"
"That's the spirit, Sua." She showed a warm smile before sitting down on the bench. The ringing sound of the bell echoed from outside and I stood up, biding Heemin a goodbye and heading to my next class.
-
"That's it for today-" I glance at the clock and check the time. "-hm, we still have ten minutes..."
One of the boys shot his arm up in the air. "can we have a free class!? We can do whatever we want!"
I avert my attention to the boy and smiled sarcastically. "Not happening- hold on where did you get that banana milk!? Lunch was three hours ago!" I pushed the microphone to the side and got up from my seat, walking towards the boy.
He gasped and hid his banana milk behind his back. His friend behind him sneakily grabbing it, trying to hide it from my sight, even though I could clearly see it.
"Hand it over." I extended my arm, expecting the boy to turn in his banana milk. "You know food isn't allowed during-"
"Ms. Rim! Look what Yugyeom is doing!" I heard a high pitched girls voice boom.
Flicking my head towards the girl, I scan the room, spotting some boys playing around with...my phone. My eyes widen, I take a few seconds to process what's going on.
"Hello? Yes! This is Ms. Rim!" One of the boys placed the phone against his ear.
"Yugyeom!" I run towards said boy as he instantly started running away. The room filled with giggles and laughter coming from every part of the room.
"I would like to order thirty big macs and sprite!" Yugyeom shouted into the phone as I kept screaming at him to stop. I don't even have Mcdonald's number!
"What's going on-" A scream by Heemin was followed by a yelp from Yugyeom who bumped into the dance teachers long legs and stumbled backwards into a fall, my phone falling out of his hand as a girl swiftly caught it in her tiny ones.
"Ms. Rim! I catched it! Can I have a sticker- Ow!"
"Give me it!" Another boy from Yugyeoms group snatched it out of the girls hands and skidded to me, who was trembling in confusion and panic. "Here you go Ms. Rim. I know Yugyeom didn't do the right thing, I am sorry. Also, Jisoo said 'catched', it's supposed to be 'caught, right Miss?"
How desperate for a sticker are these kids exactly?
"Ah, thank you Jaebeom," I glanced at the frowning girl. "you too Jisoo."
"Hello? Hello?" Faint words were escaping from my phone. I immediately smacked the phone to my ear and turned around.
I looked at Heemin and she gestured to take care of the class while I talk. I squeeze my legs past Yugyeom who was staring at me with an innocent smile, to which I gave one last frown to.
"I'm so sorry," I spoke in the phone before taking a look at the caller ID. Hoseok. Oh just great. "Oh God, Hoseok!"
He chuckled from the other line. "So who wants thirty big macs?"
I couldn't help but laugh, both in amusement and embarrassment. "My bad Hoseok, kids are a pain, most of the time. Especially the boy and his groupthat called you. You have no idea how many times they called my roommates and now they know them pretty well."
"Oh that's absolutely fine! I should visit someday and actually bring thirty big macs." He said before whispering. "I have a great love for sprite anyway."
"I know, I know, you used to love sprite. And still do." I made an impressed expression and nodded. I'm already talking to him so, "Tell me, how is your cold now?"
He paused. "Why is that the first thing you ask me?" I could practically hear him frowning. "Sua, I know you're having a hard time because of what's going on around the news. I'm sorry it's my fault in the first place."
"Who says?" I retorted. "No way. It's not you're fault Hoseok! Besides, I'm fine. So it's all fine!"
"You're way too nice." He said.
"I only say the truth...most of the time."
He giggled from the other end and so did I. "Alright, I gotta go, we were in the middle of practice. Talk to you later?"
"Of course!" We hung up before I turned around to see three heads poking out of the door. Jaebeom, Jisoo and Yugyeom.
"I place my hands on my hips as Yugyeom smiled innocently. "That name on your contacts is the same as the boy my sister talks about, Ms. Rim!"
I didn't change my boring expression instead, raised my eyebrows instead and spoke simply. "Detention."
A scream was heard from inside the room and I quickly sprinted inside in a panic.
Heemin and the rest of the students were circling the corner or the music room. Heemin had her hands clenching her head in utter surprise and fear. I pushed through a few kids and my mouth hung open instantly.
Three boxes of fresh banana milk spilled all over my worksheets and music papers. "WHAT THE-" I slapped my mouth shut, preventing myself from cursing infront of kids.
"He did it!"
"She did it!"
"Nu-uh!"
"Your the one who pushed me!"
"And you fell over her and started fighting so it's both of your fault!"
Fingers were being pointed by every student to each other, leading to an argument with one another.
"Who brought this milk in class!?"
"Jaebeom!" The class cheered, way to happy about the rough situation.
I slowly turn around to face that little brat, anger boiling in me.
"Ms. Rim, he gave one to all his friends." Jisoo tugged on mt shirt.
"How many friends exactly?" I asked, trying to calm my voice down but end up croaking.
"He has got seven friends so...seven banana milks! Ms. Rim, I did math! Can I have a sticke-"
"Not now, Jisoo, thank you for the information." I gave a deathly, venomous and trembling smile to the boy who took a step back.
And we heard sound of liquid spilling.
Everyone's attention went to Jaebeom who tripped over another banana milk box and stared at it in horror before flicking his head to me on who he could see devil horns on.
"Oh boy."
