"Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right-"

"Shut up! I know what I'm doing!" I stop my feet and rush to turn the music off before facing Heeji who was lazily laying on the wooden bench of the dance room. "You're just chanting 'Left. Right' like I'm marching or something. You should know you're really annoying."

"I know." She turned her head with a grin. "You should learn to keep going even with obstacles, for example, me."

She hopped on her feet and wrote something on her palm with a red pen.

"You failed at that since you stopped and turned the music off." She stated as I raised an eyebrow.

She turned her palm towards me to see writings scribbled in red.

'Can walk.✔
Can run.✔
Can dance.✔
Can sing.✔
Can do the backpack dance.✔
Can make lasagna.✔
 Can tie her shoes.✔
Can tie my shoes.✔
Can sing in an annoying environment.✖
Can dance in an annoying environment.✖'

"Just..." I stared at her palm full of scribbles in disbelief. "why...?"

"I have much more." She said and looked at her palm. "Maybe I should have just asked one of your colleagues for a paper. I wrote the most important ones for now."

"How does tying my shoes count as important? I'm literally dancing bare footed." I pointed at my bare feet.

"You need to know how to tie your shoes if you should be able to tie my shoes." She states and I glanced at her feet, the shoe laces of her shoes tied neatly into a knot since I did them a few minutes ago."

"I don't even wanna ask again." I shook my head, groaned and plopped down on the bench.

My muscles were aching after three hours of nonstop practicing. My head felt heavy, my eyes drooped down and I had an urge to vomit. I breathed heavily in silence for a few seconds to compose myself.

"Time to go home, Sua~" Heeji noticed my energy drained state and pulled my arm, expecting me to stand up and leave for home.

"Not yet." I snapped my arm from her clutches and inhaled sharply, trying to calm my throbbing, tired heart. I breathed out, "Just a few more minutes..."

Heeji frowned. "Three hours of dance practice and three hours of vocal practice everyday for two months straight wasn't enough?"

"I don't know. Maybe it is but to me, it doesn't feel like it." I stood up sloppily and walked to the radio. "Just one more time and I promise-"

A disgusting, sour flavor made its way up my throat as I forcefully swallowed it back. Sweat seeped out of my forehead and I put my weight on the table while cupping my mouth, making a weird gagging noise.

"I really think we should go back. I heard Yikyung bought sushi for you." Heeji smiled sweetly.

"You go. You didn't need to come see me today, anyway. It's gonna be awhile before I go back." I said. "You see, I found a shortcut back to the apartment from here and when you think I practice three hours, I actually practice three and a half hours and it now takes only ten minutes to get back home so, that's good!"

I shined a thumbs up to Heeji who pulled out her phone and started tapping on it. "I'm calling Yikyung. She gon' drag you out of here."

"No, no! Don't." I stopped her by grabbing her arm. "Don't bother her."

"Then let's go home." She smiled mischievously.

I looked down and sighed, letting my muscles relax for sometime.
