We were the stupid kids holding hands under the desk. Thinking that we were invincible because love always wins. It wasn’t an act of rebellion but our disposition.
You would whisper secrets in my ears in the crowded room. Stranger’s eyes would assume that it’s just best friends talk but we knew the promises of those whispers and how they’d come alive in the dark.
Remember when we sneaked out to watch the waves in the night. How the ocean glittered, reflecting the moonlight. When we imagined how it would feel to rule the ocean and build our very own Atlantis with lost dreams right in the middle of it.
The very ocean where I confessed that I feel like the sea that longs for the city rather than the ocean. But you already knew because you felt the same way too.
The night I kissed you on your cherry red lips.

I know that you wonder about our wonder, wondering is it even possible? Can you and I be an ‘us’ when the world is against us? Can it be true?
And you smile at the possibility because you knew love before love knew you.

Your life. Your choice.
As long it doesn’t hurt anyone nobody has the right to stop you. #loveisfree
