I held the silence between the ringing of the phone,
Waiting for you to pick up my call."We need to move on, " you murmured with a sigh.
"Hang up then," I whispered, wishing you wouldn't.I listened to your voice regretting letting you go.
You knew it was me yet couldn't say my name.Holding the phone with trembling hands, trying to calm my frantic heart.
Out of the two of us I wasn't the only one breaking, right?We stayed up watching the sunrise, listening to our breaths letting the silence hold us.
It may not be enough for long but right now this is my antidote.
