My head was spinning, my heart was pounding, and I was sweating like crazy. The second I made it to my room, coughs racked my body. I tried screaming, but something was clogging my throat. I balled up whatever carpet I could get ahold of into my hand and dragged myself back to the door. I heard talking, it sounded like my dad and Carl. It was hard to tell, either way I started banging on the door. I couldn't even pick myself up off of the floor, so I had to resolute to getting their attention. I hit the door twice before another coughing fit put me on my hands and knees. I lifted my head, one hard cough leaving my body, and the door was splattered in blood. My blood. My blood ran cold, I remembered Glenn, Sasha, and a whole bunch of other people getting sick with something like this at the prison. I was exposed to it then, but never got it. I was lucky if I got it now when we had doctors, but it only enhances my chance of survival by 50%. I started couching again, I rolled on my back and stared at the ceiling, I felt myself start to cry. At least I thought it was tears. The coughing stopped long enough for me to try and speak.
"Da...Daddy!" Was all I could get out before I started choking.
I was wheezing, fighting the clog in my throat for air. My vision started doubling, I was choking and coughing so hard my body was in spasms. I saw this happen to someone at the prison, right before they died. I saw two blurry people stand above me. They started screaming incoherent words. Echoes in my ears as my own wheezes captivated my hearing. I was being pushed onto my side, I felt the clog leak out of my mouth. I got in one ragged breath before my eyes shut.I welcomed the darkness with open arms.
