the fresh scent of newly placed books and the mixture of blood made tyler feel at home, slightly tracing his bottom lip which still felt fuzzy from the kiss he stole from josh last night. he knew josh was getting close to finding out, in fact, josh should know already after the little stunt tyler pulled last night and tyler didn't care if josh knew. not one bit.
if josh knew, then tyler could play around with him and only threaten the boy if he planned to tell a single soul about tylers secret and oh boy did tyler have some things he would love to do with josh.
tyler only snapped out of his thoughts when joshua himself sat right next to him, picking one of the many books that sat open to a random page before reading it; tyler staring confused as josh read a book written in french like it was nothing.
"vous savez parler franciais?" [you know how to speak french?]
"je suis allé à paris pendant un an et ma mere m'a un peu force de i'apprendre." [I went to paris for a year and my mom kind of forced me to learn it.]
joshua replied easily while shrugging, mindlessly flipping to another page as tyler stared dumbfounded. he saw a slight smile appear on joshs lips as the boy closed the book and looked at tyler.
"preferirias hablar en espanol?" [would you rather I speak in spanish?]
tyler was at a loss for words, his mouth slightly agape before closing it and slightly smirking.
"no me importa un poco bebe." [i don't mind one-bit baby boy.]
a faint blush fought its way across joshs face as he looked away, pushing the book aside before randomly grabbing another which was in.....korean? how many languages did this kid know? tyler was about to respond but josh beat him to it, asking him a question tyler thought the boy was going to ask.
"niga baempaieo ya?" [are you a vampire?]
that's when josh looked at him, a brow slightly raised but his face read scared and worried. tyler knew the boy would be scared, who wouldn't be? silently taking one of joshs hand before softly kissing each knuckle and sounding out a response that made josh freeze with fear.
"geulae, naya." [yes, I am.]
tyler froze for a second before gently cupping the boy's face and kissing his forehead, closing his eyes for a split-second before looking at dark brown orbs with his now deep, blood red eyes.
"kkamjjag nollan?" [scared?]
josh shook his head no but his eyes said yes and tyler could smile before letting his eyes fade into his neutral light brown. lightly pecking the boy's lips before sliding the book away from joshs grasp, josh could only watch as tyler slightly flicked his wrist and watched as all the books flip shut and stack atop each other; looking around to see if anyone else saw it and was slightly relieved that no one had.
tyler smiling slightly as josh switched the language back to french.
"est-ce bizarre que je veux apprendre a te connaitre?" [is it weird that I want to get to know you?]
and oh boy was tyler happy.
"not one bit."
