the panic attack tyler suffered after seeing his love pass out wasn't all that good. dried blood surrounded josh and there was even a trail that leads from his bed and to his door, assuming that the trail kept going but that didn't phase him at the moment.

what phased him was josh underneath him, passed out and with blood sticking to his skin.

how the hell was tyler going to explain this to laura? "hey, sorry about the mess. apparently, I get really dominated and blood lust for josh after killing a human. did I forget to tell you im a vampire?"

tyler highly doubted he wanted to see lauras reaction if he said that. so, after a full hour of cleaning the floors, changing the bedsheets (which had blood sticking to almost every crevice), and fixing up the puncture holes embedded into joshs lower back, tyler finally could calm down and watch over the yellow hue who looked so peaceful when asleep, having josh sleep on his stomach to prevent any more pain.

josh is definitely going to leave you.

"shut up."

you know its true.

"leave me alone."

look at the way you treat him, josh deserves someone who doesn't leave him bloody and in pain.

"I'm not the one who did this, maybe you should control yourself next time."

why blame me? I'm apart of you, so this was your doing too.

"but I wasn't in control, you were."

"t-ty?" the small whisper of his name had tyler scrambling over to the bed, kneeling beside it and brushing off the yellow curls.

"hey sleepyhead," the pain look on joshs face had tyler whipped with guilt. josh faintly smiled, weakly reaching out for tylers hand who gently took it and kissed each knuckle.

"how are you feeling?" tyler already knew but still wanted to know, josh whimpered a bit.

"sore," tyler nodded his head, pressing gentle kisses to joshs forehead and soothingly twisting the vibrant yellow curls. a soft knock on the door sounded and slight panic rushed through tyler, mumbling out a 'come in' to which the door opened up and laura came in, a light gasp spilled out her lips when she saw josh.

"what happened? oh my poor baby," tyler stepped back as laura rushed over, instant panic flashed through his eyes when laura looked at him and kindly asked to speak to tyler alone. giving josh a final glance before following laura like a child who got caught eating candy before supper.

"what happened?" a large lump formed in tylers throat and he had a very difficult time swallowing it. tyler couldn't just say what really happened, he would put his whole family in danger and he couldn't risk that.

"um," laura looked at him that said 'better tell me now or I'll find out myself' and tyler froze up.

laura sighed, "look, tyler, I know you want to protect josh and I'm proud of you for doing that, but, I've never seen josh like this and in so much pain. I just want to know what happened and I promise I won't freak out if it sounds terrible."

tyler relaxed a bit but still felt like he couldn't breathe. could tyler really tell laura? tyler gulped, "p-promise?"

laura nodded and that's all it took before tyler spilled out everything.

to be honest, tyler was not surprised he was sent out of the house for a few hours so laura wouldn't freak out. he didn't blame her and would gladly give her the whole day but he still wanted to check up on josh. about four hours passed before laura let tyler step foot in the house, quickly beckoning tyler into the kitchen.

"so you really are a...." tyler slowly nodded, shifting from one foot to another. hands tangled together behind his back and a sickening feeling pooling at the bottom of his gut. he could tell by the way laura's silence that tyler wasn't going to be able to be with josh anymore, not going to be able to see him or anything and tyler couldn't blame her.

"look-" "well-"

both started and stopped and tyler gulped, "y-you can go first."

laura nodded, "well, its a lot to take in and its the first time i've ever heard of this. I don't want to hurt your feelings or anything but you kind of terrify me right now," tyler only shook his head.

"none taken," laura nodded her head again.

"i-i know you said you didn't mean to and I believe you because I know your intentions for my son is wonderful and I'm actually very happy josh found someone to be with who makes him happy," tyler couldn't help the smile forming on his face.

"I trust you not to do it again, tyler. I'm glad you take of josh when he's not feeling well but, just control yourself next time, ok?" tyler nodded his head, feeling a very heavy weight lift off his chest.

"now go to josh, he wouldn't stop asking for you when you were gone," tyler didn't need to be told twice. instantly thanking laura before bounding up the stairs. the look on joshs face when tyler walked in was so adorable that tyler couldn't help himself but chuckle, repeatedly pressing kisses to joshs forehead until josh was a giggling mess.

"I missed you," tyler smiled and sweetly kissed josh who sighed in content.

"I missed you too, baby boy, so much."
