hey! yeah, I normally don't do shoutouts or anything like that, but! you guys should really check out a story by fairly floral, its called "semi-automatic" and its literally the best book ever. it doesn't have a lot of attention and I think it would mean the world to them if you go check it out!

joshs whole body was shaking tremendously and tyler couldn't blame him. the dinner was filled with complete silence except for the occasional scraping of utensils on plates and the glares that tylers parents gave josh were completely and utterly unwanted. the silence was then broken by tylers mother.

"so, josh," josh kept his gaze to the empty plate in front of him, feeling tyler squeeze his hand from beneath the table before glancing up, " care to tell me of why you're dating my son? cause as I told him before," her sharp gaze flickered to her son who only rolled his eyes before looking back at josh, "we don't like your kind involved in our lives."

tyler couldn't even blame josh when the boy's grip tightened hugely, trying to sooth joshs nerves as he rubbed the back of joshs hand and giving him a small smile. mumbling out "its ok, baby" to which his mother and father glared at him but he ignored them. tyler pulled the trembling boy's chair closer to him so he could properly hold josh, sending glares back at his parents as josh leaned into tylers touch. tyler didn't even let josh speak, which he figured josh wasn't going to in the first place.

"josh didn't start the relationship in the first place, mother, I did. I choose to show him because I trust him, josh is nothing like any other person I've met because he actually cares for other peoples feelings and isn't some brat who throws parties on the weekends because their parents are gone. you guys can dislike my choice of dating josh all you want but I don't care, he's the only person I love and he's the only person I trust with my damn life so zip it with your stupid questions. I am an adult and I can make my own decisions without you guys constantly breathing down my neck. so leave josh out of this, cause this wasn't his choice but mine, and it was the best damn choice I've made." tyler didn't even wait for their response as he stood up and lead josh out of this hell he used to call home, slamming the door in the process. he engulfed josh in a real tight hug but josh didn't care because he easily reciprocated, burying his head in the warmth of tylers neck before feeling the sobs rack through his body. tyler rubbed josh's back for comfort as the boy sobbed, feeling anger boil at the pit of his stomach.

"I'm sorry for bringing you here, baby. let's go back to your house, yeah?" by the way josh was holding onto him, he wasn't going to get off anytime soon but tyler felt josh nod slightly and that all it took for tyler to pick josh up bridal style and carry him to his car.

"I love you." and the slight smile that shown on joshs face made his non-existing heart beat faster.
