❝ red hoodie girl. ❞
third person's point of view
mackenzie ziegler sat impatiently in her desk as she waited to leave class, twirling the strings of her one thousand dollar armani exchange hoodie that she managed to thrift for only fifty bucks. you can't possibly pass up a good deal like this she thought on the day she had brought it.
soon after purchasing the hoodie, she was never seen without it. something about it appealed to her liking. but maybe, it was the fact that it was red, such an intense color or that it came from such an expensive brand and it felt nice to wear something of it's kind.
but whatever the reason was, it led her to name the hoodie as "one of the best things that ever happened to me in my entire life".
weird, right?
but as mackenzie continued to sit mindlessly in class, her body stiffened. she felt the presence of someone's eyes on her. after deciding that it was paranoia, she jotted down a few notes that were written in large letters on the board.
however, the tingling sensation that she was feeling, only began to grow. she turned around only to be faced with a green-eyed boy she had never seen before in all her years of attending liberty high.
"can i help you?" she questioned with added sass
"no?" he replied. although, it came out as a question, rather than a statement
"then stop staring at me!" she exclaimed before turning once again, to face forward.
soon after, the bell rung, signaling that class was finally over and mackenzie couldn't possibly be more overjoyed. she darted out of the science class, and into the library where she had study hall.
she went over to an empty table in the corner and sat down. but as she began to set her books down, she heard a familiar voice call her. and although she had only heard his voice once, she already knew who it was.
"hey, red hoodie girl!" he called out
instead of turning around, mackenzie threw her hood over her head and pulled it shut. thanks to the green-eyed boy, everyone's eyes were on them.
she pulled open the hoodie. "what do you want?" she hissed as he slid into the seat next to her
"your number" he smirked
mackenzie was baffled. "what? no!"
"can i at least have your name?" he asked her
"so you can constantly yell it out in public to get my attention?" she snorted, "i think not"
"pretty please mackenzie", he smirked once again.
mackenzie was left in utter shock. she wondered how he knew her name and why he asked for it even though he already knew it. but all he did was give her another one of his infamous smirks when she had asked.
as the day went on, mackenzie realized that she had to put up with the green-eyed boy who she came to know as johnny orlando, in two more of her classes. it turned out that he was a new student, and had transferred to the school the day before.
