Aquaria
The look on her face was everything I wanted to see; her eyes filled with tears and her hands clasped over her mouth as if she was going to scream. I opened the small velvet box, revealing what probably is the most expensive thing I've bought. The ring was made of pure diamond and was speckled with sapphire gemstones. I was going to marry the love of my life, I still couldn't process that.
"Yes yes yes!" She cried and hugged me tightly, kissing my neck and up to my ear. "Oh my god!" She bit her lip and allowed her crystal tears to fall. I smiled and felt my lip quiver, I quickly took hold of her hand and slipped the ring onto her ring finger. Her hand trembled as if she could break it just by moving an inch. I laughed and held her hand in both of mine.
"I love you so much," I whispered, "When your mom comes home, we can tell her!"
"Yes!" She cried, sitting on her knees and smiling at me with pure joy.
"Shall we sit inside or out here on the benches?" I asked, wiping my cheek with my shoulder.
"Out here!" She stood up, pulling me up with her and tugged my hand to the pretty moss covered benches that sat just below a tree. We watched over at the main road, admiring almost everything we saw; we were engulfed in such happiness we saw no reason to even feel sad or even afraid of anything.
"Crackie, I hope this isn't too soon!" I said with sudden worry, still holding onto her right hand tightly. She shook her head with a frown.
"Not at all! I'm so blessed to have you propose to me!" She looked down at her hand and laughed happily. "Wow, is this real diamond!?"
"Yes! I don't think boring gold is enough for someone like you. You deserve something strong and valuable." I caressed her finger, feeling the rough stones scrape across my fingertips.
"You shouldn't spend so much money on me," She blushed and batted her lashes. I laughed.
"I'm richer than this whole town put together, don't sweat it!" I said smugly, combing her blonde locks with my fingers.
"I'm marrying a rich gothic lady!" She exclaimed, shuffling closer to me and pressing her nose against mine. I pouted my lips and quickly kissed her, earning a giggle.
"You say it like it's a bad thing," I tuned, running my hands down her back. She purred and placed her hands on my chest, trailing them down to my tummy, the same way as I did to her.
"Never~"
I brushed my hair to one side, feeling myself fall into her arms. She held me close, kind of like she was cradling me, but this was different. Her hand brushed my fringe and I felt my cheeks darken, hopefully, she saw.
"Everything is so perfect." I laughed and saw her laugh too.
"It truly is. If anyone tries to take this away, then I will keep you safe!" She furrowed her brows and drew circles on my shoulder with her soft thumb.
"Stop acting all tough! You're meant to be the cute little one in this relationship." I smiled and raised my brows, quickly planting a kiss on her collarbone.
"Lies!" She sang.
"Truth!" I mocked her tone, hearing a little groan of annoyance.
"You bully me!" She giggled and bit her nail. I simply shrugged and felt such beaming happiness inside of me. It was through my blood, and it was what I wished I had a long time ago.
