Jimmy:
I looked at the man, maybe in his early 50's. He had scars all over his arms. I think I know what that douchebag of a future father-in-law, did.
"I was your dad's prisoner." He said.
Sarah and I looked at each other.
"H-He kept you in a cell? Something like that?" Sarah asked as she eyed the scars.
"Not really. He never made me leave. He was desperate of finding you. He would hit me every time he'd ask about any update on where you were and I told him I don't know." He answered
Sarah's face dropped.
"That sick son of a bitch." Sarah muttered.
"Now, where should I begin?" Chrome asked.
"How'd you get out?" Sarah asked.
"Long story short, I planned about it for years, I waited for the perfect time and then I I did it." He shrugged.
Sarah nodded, "Okay.... Then how do we get in?" She asked.
"The front and back entrance, they are fully guarded. The only options we have is from below and above... Its your call." He stated.
Sarah clutched my hand and I rubbed the top of her hand with my thumb, soothing her.
"Can I have some space to think?" She said as she looked at the ground.
"As you wish." Chrome answered as he turned around to leave. Maverick sighed.
"That stairs leads to the rooftop, you can take her there. Its safe, trust me." Maverick told me before following Chrome out, leaving me and Sarah alone.
"Do you want me to stay or..." I asked her softly.
"Stay." She whispered as she looked up at me. I nodded and lead her up to the rooftop.
Sarah:
As Jimmy lead me to wherever, I locked myself all alone in my thoughts.
What am I going to do? What am I supposed to do?!
I'm not used to this. I never was.
"I don't know what to do, Jimmy." I squeaked. "Im just a bartender, Im a nobody, Im not used to these kind of decisions."
I could feel the tears welling up as Jimmy enveloped me in a loving embrace.
He pulled back and placed his finger under my chin and lifted it up so that I could look into his brown almond eyes.
"Honey, listen to me. Im here, Im never ever going to let you drown in your problems, you are not going through this alone. Second, what do you mean your a nobody? My love and my life revolves around you. You're like my queen. And soon enough, after this, you'll be my wife. And do you know how much I've been wanting that to happen? The moment I met you. I knew you were the one, and you think that I'll abandon you? I'll never do that. Sarah, you are the strongest, most intelligent, the bravest and the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. You can do this. We can do this." He said so seriously and sincerely that I just wanted to marry him right there and then. But it also made me cry even more.
"I hate you cause you're too perfect." I huffed as I tried wiping the tears away.
"I love you, Sarah." He smiled as he softly placed his lips on mine. We pulled away, out foreheads touching.
"As long as you're with me, we'll get through this." He whispered as he kissed my head.
We stayed like that for a few minutes,
"Jimmy?"
"Hm?"
"Let's go kick some ass."
He smiled and nodded.
"There's my Sarah." He chuckled before giving me a quick peck.
As we walked back down, we saw Maverick and Chrome working on whatever that is. Maverick looked at me and I gave him a nod.
"Oh, and Jim.."
"Yes?"
"When we get back, you owe me a burger." I said, he chuckled and nodded.
"Anything you want, hun."
"You two have kids?" Chrome asked as we came i to sight.
"None." I answered.
"Yet." Jimmy added. I looked at him and smiled.
"Anyways, so what's your call?" Chrome asked.
"We go in from below and let's work in the shadows." I answered.
Chrome chuckled, "She's a keeper, alright."
"I know." Jimmy answered with a smile.
Jimmy:
As we finished and finalized our plan. It was time to put it into action.
Chrome equipped us with more upgraded weapons to the point where I felt like Neo from the Matrix.
"Damn. You look good with a coat and guns." Sarah smirked as she checked me out.
"Really now?" I asked with a smile while raising my brow.
"You should wear that to the show once." She laughed.
"Maybe I will." I smirked.
"Sorry to break the ice, lovebirds. But we have got to get moving." Maverick said as he fixed everything he needed to.
-
We left the building and we were now back on the dark streets. Chrome led us down to a car. He went to the driver's and we got in.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yes." All three of us answered.
-
Sarah:
I was nervous and I could tell Jimmy was too. But I know he was trying not to.
I watched the buildings go by as they were soon replaced by some kind of deserted land. No buildings anywhere except for the big ass building up ahead.
"We're here." Chrome said as he parked the car. We got down and looked around.
"Where exactly?" Maverick asked. Chrome motioned for us to follow him.
"Here." He pointed down to the manhole in front of us.
"Riiiight." Maverick trailed off.
"Dont be such a wuss, Mav." I joked, a little mood lightener.
"Im not." He retorted.
"You guys know what to do." Chrome said as he opened it.
"Thank you so so much, Chrome." I said, he nodded.
"Anytime." He smiled faintly.
Maverick jumped down first.
"Clear." He called out.
"Its your turn, hun." Jimmy said as he slowly reached for my hand. I nodded and jumped down. I was instantly greeted by darkness.
"Damn." Jimmy breathed as he jumped down behind me.
"Flashlights, anyone?" Maverick said as he handed us one.
"Thanks. Now, where do we go?" Jimmy asked.
"Follow me." I said as I walked down the drainage.
I dont know why, but my instinct is telling me to go this way.
Should I follow it?
Is this good? Or bad?
