Sarah:
"Daddy, Im sleepy." Jacen said sleepily.
"Okay, bud." Maverick replied as he kissed his forehead.
"Good night, Aunt Sarah, Good night, Uncle Jimmy." He said.
"Good night, Jacen. Sweet dreams." I smiled.
"Night, little man. Sleep tight." Jimmy added with a smile. Jacen smiled at us before laying his head on his daddy's shoulder.
"Excuse us..." Maverick said as he stood up and made their way upstairs, leaving Jimmy and I alone.
I have to say, coffee here is not bad... Its actually pretty good.
"You okay?" Jimmy asked. I looked up at him and nodded.
"You can say... Its just, alot has happened today." I sighed with a soft smile.
Jimmy nodded as I played with the new ring on my finger.
"Do you like it?" Jimmy asked.
"Like what?"
"The ring."
"No. I love it, James." I smiled softly.
He chuckled and slowly placed his lips on mine.
"I can't wait." He whispered, our foreheads touching.
"'Me too." I replied.
"Am I interrupting something?" Maverick chimed in as he descended the stairs.
"Not at all." I said sarcastically. He chuckled and sat on a vacant chair infront of us.
"Now that you're here, and Jace is asleep. You have some explaining to do." I said seriously.
He sighed and nodded, "Where do you want me start?"
"Why did you keep him from us?"
"Because it was for you and Jacen's safety. I knew that one wrong move would end all of it." He answered.
"Where's his mother?" Jimmy asked.
"She left."
What?
"What? What do you mean she left?" I asked.
"She didn't want to do anything with Jacen and I, so she left."
You could hear my heart break.
"Who would do such a thing?!" I exclaimed softly.
"Apparently, she did." He shrugged.
I could feel the pain and bitterness in his voice.
"Well, all of this crap would be over soon, and you can bring Jacen with us." I told him.
He smiled softly and nodded.
"That would be awesome." He smiled.
We sat in silence, sipping our coffee.
"So what are we going to do now?" I asked.
"I contacted Chrome. He's working on it. He was really surprised about what happened."
"We were too." I added.
"And what the hell were those dogs?" Jimmy added with a disgusted look.
"That, my friend, are Malwares."
"Malwares?" Jimmy repeated.
"Yup. They're like dogs. They have rabid ones and tame ones, those were definitely rabid." Maverick chuckled.
