"Take him home, now." Maverick ordered, I looked up at him and nodded. I held Jimmy close and teleported back to my place. I placed him on my bed and waited for Mav to get back, which was odd. But shook the though off and focused on Jimmy. His face was pretty messed up. A busted lip, small bruises forming. Just then Maverick came with the meds he had a scared look on,

"Is everything going to be okay? Is he okay ?" I asked concern and worry evident in my voice, He didnt answer, He walked up to Jimmy and started applying the medicine. I just stood there, looking at him, "Mave-" I was cut off by him turning around to face me, "Sarah, Give me some space." He said softly, I nodded and took a step back, then a bright white light errupted from Maverick's hands. I just stared at it, I've never seen Maverick do this before. Mav put it in Jimmy's wrist and I could see it flowing through Jimmy's veins, "W-What is that?" I asked, Maverick didnt answer, then the white light disappeared. "I'll explain later. For now, keep an eye on him. He could wake up anytime soon." He said before walking out, I've never seen Maverick act like this, but I just nodded. As soon as Maverick closed the door, I turned and looked at Jimmy. His breathing was hitched. I walked up to him beside the bed and sat down. I ran a hand through his hair, and I swear he was freezing. I grabbed the covers and pulled it over him. I bent down and kissed his forhead before taking a seat and pulling my phone out.

Yea, He'll wake up anytime soon, Its been 3 hours, dammit. But then I cant believe I was on my phone for three solid hours playing . Just then, the door opened to reveal Maverick with two bottles of rootbeer.

"Hey." He greeted softly.

"Hey." I smiled, He sat beside and handed me a bottle, "Thought you wanted one" He said before opening his, I smiled "Thanks."

"His still not awake." I told him. He nodded and took a sip, "Its really like that." He explained, I looked at him,

"What was that anyways?"

"What?' He asked,

"The bright white light you just shoved inside Jimmy's veins." I replied, he chuckled.

"That's just a healing thing." He answered,

"How come I just saw it now" I said, He turned to look at me and sighed.

"Sar, Jimmy almost didnt make it. I stayed to check if Jimmy got hit in the chest, apparently that asswipe wanted him dead." He said before chugging his drink down. I was pretty shocked, I was supposed to loose Jimmy. I looked at him and gave him a hug, "Thank you." I whispered, though I could feel him smile, "So you do still love him." He smirked, I instantly pulled away and looked at him.

"Ha! Youre blushing!" He smiled, I shook my head, "No Im not!" I said defensively, "And Im not in High School anymore! Im a grown woman! I dont blush!" I added, Mav just laughed, "But you are!" He said with a grin while pointing a finger at me, "You love him!"

"No I dont!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yeees!"

"Nooo!"

"Okay fine. You win.' He said before placing the beer beside him.

"Thank you" I sighed, "You love him." He shot out,

"Yes- I MEAN NO! I DONT!" I shout out, Maverick stood up and started jumping up and down, "HA! YOU LOVE HIM! SARAH LOVES JIMMY!' He chanted, I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him down, "he might hear you!" I growled, He laughed, "So youre admitting you do still love him!' He smiled, I sighed, and nodded in defeat. "WOOHOO!" He continued while jumping up and down. "Shut up!" I said, "he cant hear you" He laughed, I shook my head and punched him on the shoudler, "Ow!" He whined while rubbing his shoulder up and down, I smirked, "Im a grown woman.. that's what she said!" Maverick laughed, I looked at him and flipped him off. He laughed before standing up, "I love you too." He smiled before walking out the door. I sighed and then I heard a groan coming from the bed. I stood up and walked up to him. He sat up and smiled at me,

"So you do love me." He asked with a grin. Oh crap. Damn you, Maverick.

"I-uh, I-..." I stuttered. He looked at me with his brown almond eyes and his smile. That smile.
