Chapter 34

Sarah: 

I woke up alone in bed. I sat up and looked for Jimmy.  I looked at the clock like thing that was hanging on the wall. 0130. We have two hours and 30 minutes before we go. 

My eyes shot up to the door, which probably leads to the bathroom, as it creaked open. 

Jimmy walked out with red puffy eyes, his hair all messed up. His eyes instantly landed on mine. 

He joined me in bed once again and pulled me close. 

"Im not leaving without you." He said as he kissed my forehead, my temple and then my nose.

I closed my eyes and just held unto him. Enjoying every moment with him. This could be the last.

"Jimmy, when all of this goes wrong, I want you to continue doing what you're doing. You're saving lives out there. Cause I know you saved mine. Don't you ever stop putting smiles on people's faces. Make people happy." I said as I cupped his face and fought the tears back.

"Dont say that. Please. We'll get out of this place." He whimpered as he hid his face in the crook of my neck. 

"I hope we do." I muttered. 

We stayed like that for the next two hours. Holding unto each other.

"Sarah, Jimmy." Maverick's voice said from outside the door.

Jimmy stood up and opened it.

"We have to go." He said softly. I felt myself tense up.

"Okay."

Jimmy waited for me by the doorway and held my hand. 

"We got this." He whispered in my ear and kissed my hand. I nodded and walked out. Jimmy followed me as I slowly climbed down the stairs.

I looked around the Dining room. Kimberly, Maverick, Jacen and Chrome were there. I looked at them and gave them a nod.

Chrome let out a sigh. 

"Are you ready?" He asked.

I nodded, "Let's do it."

"Kimberly." Jimmy called. She and Jacen came running in the room.

"Kim, when we go, I want you stay with Chrome. He'll keep you safe, alright? Dont worry, after all this, We'll come back for you." He told her softly. She nodded.

"Okay."

As she and Jacen went back to the living room, we stood around the table.

"We have to go." Maverick said as he looked at the table that was full of paper and weapons and other tactical stuff. 

I turned to look at Jimmy who was spaced out. 

Jimmy:

This will not happen. This is not going to happen. It will never happen. I just found her, I just got her back. Its unfair. 

That was the only thoughts running on my head. 

I dont know how long was I spacing out but, the moment I felt that touch of hers, I melted and I just wanted to stay here and keep her safe. That's all I want.

"Jimmy." She called out. I shook myself out of my little trance and turned to look at her. 

"You okay?" She asked. 

"No." I replied. 

She let out a sigh and held my hand. 

As we got locked and loaded, I glanced at everyone. This might be the last time I see them. The last time I experience this life.
