Chapter 29

Sarah:

I tried looking over Maverick's shoulder.

"Dammit, Maverick. What the hell is happening?!" I asked with a whisper.

"There are like people everywhere! This is like a freakin beehive!" He exclaimed softly.

"What do we do?" Jimmy asked.

"We work in the shadows." I said as I grabbed the flashlight and looked around.

"Are you suggesting that we don't fight them?" Maverick asked.

"Maybe." I replied.

"I mean if you want, you can fight them alone.... Sarah and I will stay here and wait." Jimmy smirked.

"No way, asshole." Maverick replied.

I touched the walls, looking for another way to go out.

"What floor is he at again?" Jimmy asked.

"The very top." Maverick answered.

"What?! C'mon man." He whined.

I rolled my eyes and smiled a little.

"You need the exercise." Maverick chuckled quietly.

"What did you say, homeboy?" Jimmy asked as he turned to face Maverick.

"Say it to my face."

I ignored the two man-boys Im with and continued looking around.

As I was looking around, my head started to throb. My hands started to shake, and my vision started going blurry.

I turned around and saw Jimmy walking up to me, but he was soon replaced by... Trevor.

I closed my eyes shut and opened them. I was definitely not in the place I remember.

"Leave the building. Now." Trevor said sternly.

"What? We can't just do that." I replied.

"Leave the damn building. He's not here, this a trap! This building will self destruct in exactly 5 minutes... Run." He ordered before disappearing.

I opened my eyes to see Jimmy's brown almond eyes staring back at me, full of concern and worry.

"Are you okay? What happened?" He asked.

"Run."

The both of them looked at me, like I was some weirdo.

"Dammit, run!" I yelled as I grabbed them by their arms and ran to the place where we began.

"Sar- what are you doing?" Maverick asked. "Its too late to turn back now."

I didn't hear anything he said. I just kept on running.

As we ran out, I looked at the multiple ways. Where did we come from again?

"Psst. Over here." Trevor called as he ran down the middle pipe.

"Sarah, what's happening?" Maverick asked.

"This place is going to blow up in less than 5 minutes! That's why run!" I answered as I ran after Trevor.

"What?!" The both of them exclaimed as they ran after me.

We ran down the pipe and finally reached the end of it. I looked up at the manhole we came in from.

"How the hell can we reach that?" I asked myself.

"By this." Trevor said as he showed me some kind of ladder.
