Your hand fits in mine
Like it's made just for me
But bear this in mind
It was meant to be

He was busy singing while strumming his guitar when a lady barged inside his room only to scold him, "Koi, ano ba? 'Di ba sabi ko sa'yo, get ready?"

He looked at her and smiled widely, as if intentionally teasing her. He has always loved her pissed off face because despite the wrinkles on her eyes and forehead, she remains beautiful— like an art carefully painted.

"That's what I hate the most about you, Koi," she sighed, both her hands on her waist as she looked around his room full of mess, "And look at your room. Sabi ko kahapon, clean your room, right?"

He placed the guitar on his bed and stood up. He carefully stretched his arms, not minding her monologue. He didn't mean to disrespect her, he just wants to tease her.

"Ang bagal mo kumilos. Kaya ka laging nale-late sa school. You have 20 minutes."

"Okay, ma. Give me 10 minutes," he murmured and was about to sit down again when she shouted.

"Unique!"

"Ma, lalaki ako. Hindi ako kagaya niyo na kailangan pang mag-make up. And look at you, wala ka pang make-up. Pustahan, ma, mauuna pa ako sa'yo."

She rolled her eyes and threw the shirt hanging in one of the chairs to her son, "Bilisan mo na."

She didn't bother hearing his answer for she already left the room to fix herself.

He was left alone. He chuckled, "Pikon talaga minsan 'tong nanay ko."

As soon as they were settled inside the car, Unique teased his mom, "At na-late na nga sila dahil ang tagal mag-make up ng kanyang Ina."

She playfully slapped his arm and fixed her seatbelt, "I wasted my time reminding you to fix yourself, Unique. Nagamit ko sana 'yon para mag-ayos."
