Psalm 25:9
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.

She woke up with her head feeling heavy. She is still wearing the clothes she wore last night. And yes, she fell asleep without even taking a shower (which she doesn't usually do, just on days she's drunk and so tired) last night.

She stretched her arms and scratched her eyes before uttering her morning prayer silently.

She got up and immediately went inside the shower to take a bath.

--

She was massaging her temple as she decided to check Unique inside his room. Softly and very quietly, she opened the door only to see his room empty.

He must have left to school already, she thought.

"Lea, are you awake?" Mommy Joy's voice echoed inside their house, "Halika na. Let's have brunch."

Her eyes wrinkled when her mom mentioned "brunch". She clicked her phone to see the time and saw that it was already 10:43 in the morning.

She checked her messages and saw 2 messages from an unknown number and 1 from Unique. Of course, she opened Unique's message first which read:

From: Unique-lo
Ma, good morning. I left for school already. Chineck kita kanina, tulog ka. Hindi na kita ginising. If your head is aching, take meds. Love you, mother. See you later.

She smiled as she started typing in her reply.

To: Unique-lo
Good morning, sunshine. I'm up already. Take care of yourself. Eat lunch, please. See you later, anak. Love you back!

While on her way to the dining room, she opened the 2 messages left in her inbox.

Lei, this is Aga. Got your number from Luis. Okay ka na? If your head is aching, a cold bath is good. And a cup of coffee, too to ease the hangover.

From: 0922tutunogtunogpagnasirapalitanmo
See you around, Lei. Good morning.

She was smiling while reading the message. Aga even took time to ask Luis for her number.

The moment she reached the dining room, she saw her mom reading newspaper and sipping her black coffee, "Ma, morning."

Her mom smiled and gestured her to take a seat and eat, "Anong oras kayo nakauwi kagabi ni Aga? Oh, and did he send you home?"

"He did. 2 am na yata, mommy."

"Hinatid ka talaga niya? He was with you until 2 in the morning? He waited? You were drunk?" aside from her voice is somehow teasing, she knew that her queries are hint that she has to tell everything that has happened last night.

She smirked, "Ma, he even sent me inside my room an--"

"Inside your room?! And then?" Mommy Joy was all excited to hear everything.

She couldn't help but roll her eyes, "Ma, can you chill down? And wait, inside my room, yes. And then he left."

"Gano'n lang? Walang nangyari?"

"Do you really think something will happen between us last night, ma?" she unbelievably looked at her mother, who has her eyes gleaming already.

"Nope--" she replied, emphasizing the 'p' sound, "But I wished. Alam mo kung bakit? Teka, you drank last night, right?"

She nodded.
