PREGNANCY PHASE

For the nth time that day, she rolled her eyes again at her husband. He does the most stupid things in the world yet he still thinks he is smart and funny. Well, he really is but today is an exception.

She has always loved his funny side and she appreciates it when he makes fun of himself just to make her happy but today, she gets irritated even with just his voice.

"Aga, will you stop?"

He frowned and removed the hat, "Bakit, babes?"

"Nakakairita ka tignan. Tsaka ang ingay mo. Can you not watch a movie silently?" she bantered and took the pillow from his side.

"Hala? Bakit nagsungit ka bigla?"

"Wala," she simply answered and went back to watching again.

"Ikaw talaga," he giggled and hugged her sideways which annoyed her even more but she did not protest.

So moody.

"Gusto mo lang ng lambing, eh," he whispered against her ear. His breath against her skin is hot as hell but nothing is hotter than her head.

"Aga, nanunuod ako!"

"Sus, kunwari pa. Halika nga dito, baby ko," he sweetly caressed her waist, "May gusto ka bang kainin?"

"Wala nga sabi. Kakakain lang natin, eh."

"Eh, ano palang gusto mo? Bukod sa akin, ha," he chuckled.

She glared at him before saying, "Gusto kong umalis ka sa tabi ko."

"Bakit ka ba nagsusungit?" he asked but remained smiling, "Meron ka ba?"

Her eyes turned into a squint when she let his question sink into her mind. It has already been a month since her last period.

Quickly, she took her phone to check the calendar to confirm. She should've had her period three weeks ago.

She gulped and looked at him, "Babes."

"Yes, love?" he eyed her, "Bakit?"

"That's the problem."

"What?"

"Hindi pa ako dinadatnan."

"Kaya ka pala tumataba! Napansin ko, eh. Ikaw ba, Dawn, did you notice?" Vice asked Dawn who was still happy with the news Lea told them.

"Oo, but I just didn't tell her kasi baka ma-offend!"

"Nakaka-offend naman talagang masabihan ng mataba, 'no! Kakapikon kaya," Regine uttered, "Inggit lang sila kasi kami may pang-kain sila, wala."

"Oh, easy, Reg, 'yang puso mo!"

"Hay naku, 'teh!" the ever bubbly Regine sighed but looked at Lea, "Congrats, bakla! Nagbunga rin!"

"Anong pinaglilihian mo?" Lani asked her.

She smiled at her friend, "Iba-iba, eh. Sometimes, I eat doughnuts. Sometimes mango. Sometimes, banana. Sometimes I crave for spaghetti and macapuno. I don't know. I have a very weird taste sometimes that Aga complains about it every single day."

"Pero wala naman siyang magagawa. Bibili pa rin siya because you're the boss."

She flipped her invisible long hair and smirked, "Of course! Sa ganda ko bang 'to, he'd refuse to buy the food I want to eat?"
