Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?*
"Oo, Lani, ikaw na lang ang single sa ating lahat," Regine told Lani who was silently drinking her wine.
"Hoy, you're missing someone," she replied as her look darted at Vice, "Mas single pa yata 'yan kaysa sa akin!"
"Uy, hindi, ah. Taken na kaya ako," Vice defended and did his ever famous pabebe face.
Aga and Lea lovingly watched their friends as their hands are tightly intertwined under the table. It amazes Lea to see how their bond got even stronger through the years. They grew up together and got wiser, too. The only reason she could think of behind this tight and strong bond is that they have been with each other through their ups and downs.
It is important to know that you are friends with someone not just because you need something from them, or just because you two click but because you feel that certain connection to them that doesn't easily break. It is the only connection she wouldn't dare break. She appreciates all her friends together with their flaws. And she could only thank the Heavens for actually sending these angels to her. They are her guardian angels in disguise.
"Hindi pa ba tapos 'to, babes?" he whispered against her ear, "Pagod na 'ko, eh."
"Pagod?" she grinned, "Pagod or..."
"Pagod na ako dito. Pero siyempre, diyan sa iniisip mo... I've been saving up energy for that. Umaapaw na nga, eh."
"Manyak," she playfully rolled her eyes at him and looked at the guests once again.
"But seriously, babes, magm-maneho pa ako. Magbibihis pa tayo."
"Kaya nga. If you want, we can just go to Tagaytay tomorrow for th-"
"No, we'll go there tonight as planned."
She smiled at that. She can never win against Aga in times like this. He plans everything really well that he will make sure everything will push through no matter what, "Okay, babes but don't rush, okay? The night is long and ours. Enjoy it."
"Okay," he replied, sweetly caressing her hand, "Okay, Mrs. Muhlach."

The function hall was close to being empty when the couple decided to change into casual attire before leaving for their honeymoon in Tagaytay. Lea is right– the night is long and so is the drive going to their honeymoon place.
"Galingan niyo, ha. Huwag magsa-sayang ng genes."
"Lea, you can use my gift. Bagay sa'yo 'yon... and Aga would like it," Lani naughtily suggested.
She remembered Lani's gift. When she had her bridal party, Lani handed her a gift, while she was wearing a playful smile. She knows that she is up to something again. Lani may be single but she is the most playful one alongside Regine. Once she opened the gift in front of their friends, surprise was an understatement. It was a red lingerie, one she doesn't and hasn't worn. Ever.
"Mag-ingat sa pagma-maneho, Aga. Madilim na sa daan."
"Congratulations again!"
They were smiling as all their friends greeted them before leaving. But she knew in her heart that from this day forward, something will definitely change. Now that she has a family of her own, she would have less time for night-outs, even gigs, and shopping.
