Keith visits his mom, Krolia, every weekend for a couple hours because they don't get to see each other much. Today was one of the days he was visiting his mom. He put on his black shirt and his red, white, and yellow jacket. Then he drove to his mom's house.

Knock!

Knock!

The door creaked a little as it opened and out came a tall woman with black hair and bright golden eyes walked out. "Keith, hello son." She pulled Keith into a tight hug and kissed the top of his head. "Hey mom."

"I love your new hair." Krolia lead Keith inside the house, shutting the door behind him, and both of them took a seat on the couch. "Oh uh, thanks. My friend Pidge picked it out." Keith smiled awkwardly and watched the floor. "I miss you here.." Krolia looked at Keith and lowered her brows in sadness.

"You know why I can't be here. With you in the army every day other than the weekends, I can't stand being in this house alone.." Keith thought of a great explanation to why he doesn't stay here. His father died years ago and this was the one place Keith still had memories of him. Staying in this house would just remind him of his dad. "Keith...your father died many years ago, don't you think maybe... it's time you move on?" Krolia sighed and looked at the floor. Keith shook his head, "I know I was 12 when it happened, but I won't move on...how could I?"

Krolia knew her son was in pain and she was once in pain too. That was the love of her life, dead, but she learned to accept his death a long time ago. She wrapped her arm around Keith, but Keith looked at her in pain and moved away. "It was nice for me to visit, but I'll be going now." Keith stood up and walked to the door. "Keith...you just got here." Krolia said, voice showing heartbreak. "I...I have to go to work.." That was obviously a lie, but Keith left anyways.

SpacePadre: Why aren't you with your mom?

Keef: I wasn't feeling up to it

HunkyHunk: Uh...that's messed up man.. Like parents can be annoying but like not feeling up to seeing your mom is harsh...

LanceyLance: ... Soooo what's with the Space names?

Pidgeon:... Well we said that if we were ever lost in space, Allura would be the space princess who could talk to aliens and Shiro would be the dad!

LanceyLance: Ohhh nice!

Keith sat on his couch and thought about his mom. Once his dad died, he had nightmares every night, the house felt scary and lonelier, not to mention that he was home alone because his mom was working in the army. Once he graduated high school, he immediately moved out with the help of Shiro.

He sighed and looked at his phone, he wanted to talk to someone. Someone who could clear his mind. Pidge would probably be on and off considering she has school work, Hunk would probably just talk about food, Shiro would go dad mode, and everyone else would just be awkward. He needs to talk to someone who wouldn't be serious.

Lance...

Okay, okay... yes Keith did tell Lance that he didn't want him pestering him, but Lance is the only person who isn't serious, he would be stupid and that's enough to distract Keith.

Keith: Hi

Lance: Keith?

Keith: Yep

Lance: You said you didn't wanna talk to me! Explain!!!

Keith: bored

Lance: Bored? I'm confused...are you feeling okay?!

Keith: Lance! I just want to talk!

Lance: YOU TRYIN TO ONE UP ME?!

Keith: Please Lance, I don't try, I just do. Anyways no, I just want to talk.

Lance: I AM OFFENDED!!!!!!!!!

Keith: LANCE CAN WE JUST HAVE A NORMAL CONVERSATION?!!!

Lance: ...fine

Keith: Soooo what's Cuba like?

Lance: Wayyyy too depressing.

Keith: Ummm Okay. What's your family like...

Lance: OH I HAVE A BIIIIIG FAMILY! I HAVE MY SISTERS VERONICA AND RACHEL, MY BROTHERS LUIS AND MARCO, MY PARENTS, MY GRANDPARENTS, AND MY NEICE AND NEPHEW! Our cousins live next door!!!

Keith: Wow. You do have a big family.

Lance: Yea!

Lance: Soooo Keith, what's your favorite animal?

After Keith and Lance texted for about an hour. Keith finally had his mind off of everything else like his dad's death and his old house and his mom. He was having an amusing conversation about Lance naming off things he can beat him at. Keith would just deny everything Lance said, since when does Lance win against him?

Lance: Keith?

Keith: Lance?

Lance: thanks for talking with me.

Keith: Yea no prob, Why are you thanking me?

Lance: just, I don't get a lot of attention.. I mean we have the group chat but that's pretty much all... bye

Keith: Bye

So much for getting his mind off of depressing thoughts. Lance completely ruined the happiness. Keith decided he would just nap like usual. So he did.
