(Scarlet James)

It's been a good three days since I've last seen Caius. I haven't heard from him, nor has he tried coming by the house. So in the meantime, I've been practicing my shifting and wolf skills with Anna. We go on runs every morning and every night. She's helping me adjust to night vision and training me to fight. Keith tagged along the first night to show a few basic moves. Tonight after our run, we stop by Tristan's house. I haven't been back since the day he left and thought I should check on things.

Anna looks around and lets out a low whistle as I empty out the perishables from the fridge. She says, "I don't even remember the last time I was here...maybe when he first built it?"

I shrug. Anna has no idea about what happened between Tristan and me in the past and I plan on keeping it that way. She turns to look at me, "So did you sleep with Tristan?"

It's like she read my mind. I glance at her, "No? He was barely here for three days before he left again. Didn't really have time to get intimate."

I throw the food items into the trash before taking it out to the front. It's trash day. When I return to the kitchen, I find Anna looking out the backyard door, intently. She frowns and asks, "Who's that?"

I follow her gaze as we see an injured wolf drag himself across the beach, coming our way. I open the door and Anna and I sprint to help him without a second thought.

"Oh no," Anna exhales and goes after him.

"Who is that?" I ask, trying to keep up but as I get nearer the familiar scent of the wolf hits me and I feel sick. I look around for anything else suspicious.

The poor golden wolf struggles to stay up, as Anna tries to support him. The wolf whimpers in pain and I see a trail of blood as Anna brings him toward the house. I rush over to help her, knowing she can't support a male wolf's weight by herself.

"Quick, move the kitchen table out of the way, I need a clear open space. And Scarlet, call my mother or Dr. Asher, whoever picks up. This is bad," Anna orders. We hurry inside and I quickly push the kitchen table farther into the kitchen to give Anna the space she needs. Then I'm on the phone with her mother.

"Hi, Estella?...no I'm at Tristan's...we need you now, Timmy's hurt...okay, come quick, please!" I say into the phone with urgency.

Anna brings Timmy into the kitchen, while I run upstairs to get towels. Timmy's whimpers are loud and it hurts to hear him in pain.

"She said she's on her way," I yell to Anna, "she should be here in ten minutes..."

I race back down and see Timmy in human form, sprawled on the kitchen floor with Anna examining him. Anna looks at me as she takes the towels, "Do you know if Tristan has a first aid kit or something I could use in the meantime?"

I nod and rush to Tristan's office to find his medical bag. His dad gave it to him when he was supposed to go to NYU for med school, which never ended up happening. I return to Anna and hand the bag over before kneeling beside Timmy, and holding his head.

Timmy's right side is wounded badly as well his right hand. Who would do something like this? Certainly none of our own...

"It's the Half Moon Pack," Timmy croaks, "they won't stop. They're coming."

"Shhh," I shake my head, caressing hit forehead.

"You have to tell Caius," he coughs up more blood, "There are others out there."

Just then the doorbell rings and I go to answer it. Estella Cox rushes inside, "Where is he?"

"Kitchen," I tell her and she walks down the hallway.
