"I'm sorry for the way I used to act towards you. Why are you this nice If I used to be such an asshole towards you?"

I shook my head, getting more confused with every single word he said.

"You have never been an asshole towards me, Ash."

"I - I haven't?" Ashton asked a little confused and I shook my head.

"You've always been one of my greatest friends" I said and smiled at the blonde boy, who forced himself to smile back at me.

"Must've confused a memory then or something" Ashton shrugged and giggled slightly.

I nodded and smiled as Ashton and I said our goodbyes and I left to get to Michael's car, who would drop me off at Luke's.

I told Michael about my weird conversation with Ashton and he just shrugged. "Probably that's what happens when you loose a part of your memory."

I nodded, still slightly confused. "I could never picture Ash being mean to anybody"

Michael agreed, chuckeling a little.

Soon Michael and me arrived at Luke's house and I asked him if he was sure he didn't want to come with me but he said he'd ditch as he was having a date with Calum later.

I told Luke about what just happened at Ashton's but he seemed a little distracted as he just nodded and then shook his head.

"Weird" he said as I finished telling him the story, but then he changed the subject to my birthday which was coming up the next friday.

I literally hated my birthday and not having Larry and Jaime around would suck a little but I was also a little glad that they couldn't come by because I really didn't want to have a celebration.

The next week passed by quickly and Ashton made some more progress in remembering things and both times I managed to visit him he asked where Luke was as he hadn't seen him in a while but Luke was just honestly too busy to come by as he was fighting to keep up his grades enough to pass the final grade that he was in and all the exams he was struggeling with were coming up that week, but on friday he finally had written the worst exams and was able to come over to hang out at my house a little after school, but he sadly had to leave early in the evening.

I was just taking a long bath when I got a text from Luke saying that he wanted me to stay awake until midnight because he said he'd want to call me for my birthday as soon as it began.

I chuckled a little and went back to enjoying my bath.

It was 11:30pm when I suddenly heard something on my window. I went over there to see Luke standing under the window.

"Can you come out?" Luke asked sneakily and I nodded and held up 5 fingers so he knew that I'd be down in 5 minutes. I quickly threw on a cardigan, pulled my hair into a messy bun and I even bothered putting on some mascara and leggins as it got quite cold already.

"How do you manage to look this good that late?" Luke greeted me as I quietly went out to meet him on the street.

I blushed a little and shrugged as he took his hand in mine and I asked him what he was planning to do now.

"I just wanted to be there when you turn 17 and I actually got us some food and stuff down at the beach."

I smiled and pecked Luke's lips. "You're the best" I smiled and he just chuckled.

"Let's forget about all the drama tonight, okay?" Luke asked and I nodded eagerily and took his hand in mine as we went down to the beach and the rock we hung out on a lot looked just like the first proper date Luke and I had, it was just flawless.

Luke and I sat down and watched the ocean that was so calming and beautiful as it suddenly turned 11:59.

"Close your eyes" Luke said and I did what he asked for.

"Open" Luke said just seconds later and I was seeing a really yummy looking cake with 17 lit candles on top.

"Happy Birthday babe" Luke said and leaned over as he set the cake down and kissed me softly.

"Thank you" I said and then I blew out the candles and made a wish, which I'm obviously going to keep to myself though.

It was only now that I spotted the little wrapped gift in Luke's hand and I groaned a little but smiled a lot.

"I told you that I didn't want presents."

Luke just laughed, handed me the gift and said:"Open it"

I slowly unwrapped the gift and saw the most beautiful oval shaped locket that looked kind of expensive and when I opened it up I saw that Luke put in a really adorable picture of both of us hugging inside of it.

"Do you like it?" Luke asked, sounding a little nervous.

"Yes, I love it" I smiled and kissed Luke. "Thank you so much"

"Let's go for a midnight swim then" Luke suddenly said and even though I protested as I just recovered from a cold, Luke simply picked me up and carried me to the ocean where he let me down and I saw that he actually planned this as there were towels, blankets and clothes laying in the sand.

I quickly stripped down to my underwear and so did Luke and then we entered the water and swam around until we were freezing.

A/N: I can't believe i'm saying this but Luke is 18. HE'S LEGAL I'M SO NOT DOWN FOR THIS BYE.

Anyways I figured I'd update because It's Luke's birthday and in this Chapter it's Bella's birthday and stuff so yeaaaa...get ready for the next chapter tho bc ughhh well you'll see (i'm not looking forward to posting that tbh..) ((can you guess what happens?))

I've told ya'll before...This fanfic will be having 35 chapters (+ a prologue) so there's only 5 more chapters left and Idk how to feel about this!

I've also written all the chapters and the prologue and stuff and as much as I didn't want to write one - I'm now considering to write a sequel?! It's up to you guys really..
