epilogue

- some months later -

I was standing at the airport, watching my first real love leave for good as he was going to university after he finished school a few weeks ago. The boys band actually worked out really well but all of them agreed to at least try out university before concentrating on the music.

"See you soon, guys!" Michael said as he hugged Calum and Luke, who both would leave and attend the same university from now on.

"Love ya man" Calum said and I saw Ashton running towards us.

"I thought I had missed you guys already" Ashton said, sounding genuinely sad and hugging Calum first, then he hugged Luke tightly as he said some quiet words to them.

When it was finally my turn to say goodbye, I hugged Calum first, trying to hold back the tears that wanted to escape my eyes so badly as I whispered:"Take care of Luke for me" and Calum nodded as he rested his chin on my shoulder for a while.

Now the hardest part was about to come - saying goodbye to Luke.

Obviously I "said goodbye" the night before which we spent together but this still was hard for me.

Luke and I just didn't manage to stay "friends", just weeks after we agreed to not be in a relationship anymore, I doubted my decision and decided to give Luke another chance, which he didn't mess up in the slightest yet.

I swung my arms around Luke, who wrapped his arms around my torso and squeezed me a little as I inhaled his calming scent to hold myself back from crying.

"Don't cry honey" Luke said quietly, only for me to hear.

"I'm gonna miss you so bad" I whispered back and Luke promised to see me as soon as he could and he promised to call me as soon as he'd arrive at the uni he and Calum were attending, that actually was one of the best uni's in the whole country, sonMichael and I would try to get in there next year aswell. For now it was hard letting my boyfriend and one of my closest friends leave to go to Brisbane, which was almost 600 miles from our hometown Sydney.

I saw that the boarding began out of the corner of my eye so I let go of Luke and a tear escape my eyes, which Luke wiped away as soon as he saw it.

Calum was hugged by Ashton and Michael again as Luke cupped my face in his hands and kissed me passionately as his one hand trailed off to my neck, where he left tons of lovebites the night before, so that I didn't "forget who I belong to", as Luke said the other night.

I broke the kiss and pecked Luke's lips one last time before letting go of him and smiling a little.

"Get going, you fool."

"I love you" Luke said quietly and I replied "I love you, too."

I quickly hugged Calum for the last time and Ashton and Michael said their final goodbyes aswell as Luke and Calum made their way over to the airplane.

Michael, Ashton and I kept on waving until the boys, whom we wouldn't be able to see for quite a while, were out of sight.

I wanted to write a huge authors note and thank all the people who left me multiple awesome comments and who just liked this book in general, but I feel like if I did that, I would leave out some very important people and after all, even if you only read this and never told me you did, i'm really glad that you actually took the time to read this book!

I hope that you've enjoyed this after all and I hope the end didn't disappoint you or anything. This is my first ever finished fanfiction, so this means a lot to me and right now I feel like my baby is all grown up and is moving out (jesus i'm weird)

Most importantly I just want to say thank you to every single one of you, I never thought I would get this far with this book and I'm really glad that some of you genuinely enjoyed this! ❤️❤️

When I first started this off, my goal was to get 1k reads, which became the goal of 10k and finally 50k, but getting even OVER 50k reads still feels surreal to me and I couldn't be more thankful 😌

About the sequel: It will be up soon and I will probably upload another part of this story to tell you when it's up! I might not update anything as fast at the moment because I'm kind of stressed with school and all that...

Buuut let's reveal the name now.. *drumroll* it'a going to be called "Drowning"
