Reluctantly Lapis followed Peri to the library. It was a slightly large building, made of brick with a white wood roof finish. The building was nice, but she still hated the thought of being here. Peri on the other hand had a smile on her face, her glasses pushed up far onto her nose. She pushed and held the door as Lapis slowly walked in, wrinkling her nose at the smell of old books and stagnant air.

" It smell of.. death in here.. ughh...!" Lapis complained.

" Shh, you gotta be quiet here, remember? Besides, we won't be here that long. So just calm down ok?" Peri to reassure, not knowing just  how much she actually seemed to hate the library. Laps nodded and held her hand as Peri lead to the fantasy area, and grabbing two books from what seemed like a long series. On the cover were a bunch of cats, so Lapis assumed it had something to do with caring for cats.

" Are you planning on getting a cat sometime soon or something?" Lapis questioned, remembering to keep her voice low.

" No, its about feral cats that form clans and have territories, and at times fight over how much land they have. Alot of things happen between all the four clans, but it focuses on one clan specifically. and the events that unfold with them. I really like it, and there's so many books too read. But I only do about two at a time." Peri explained, losing Lapis after a few words. She rolled her eyes and took her to the check out clerk, and saw the dirty look that she gave Lapis, who smiled and looked away. Once they left, she asked about it.

" Well ya know.. I may have a few books that are really over due. Like by a year or so.." Lapis responded rubbing her arm.

" By a year?! Holy shit! why do you still have them? You don't even like reading apparently." Peri laughed, holding her stomach. Lapis grew embarrassed, and blushed.

" I never said that I didn't read ya know! I just never got to finishing the books.. And I kinda lost them somewhere in my room.." She said defensively. Peri shook her head and chuckled more, walking along the sidewalk. It had been awhile since she had been out, so she was really noticing just how many people were actually out and about. Her anxiety started to kick in, and she slightly squeezed Lapis's hand and drew closer. Lapis noticed immediately, watching as her whole demeanor changed and she began walking behind her and keeping her head down. Lapis wrapped her hand around her waist and pulled her in. She gingerly kissed her forehead.

" Everything is ok little Miss Librarian. I'm right here alright?" Peri did her best to look back at her and nod, but her eyes eventually went back down to the ground. " Seems someone isn't so big and tough now that we aren't in the library anymore hehe." Lapis joked. Peri bit back a retort and gave her hand a squeeze, making sure she did here that like smart remark. Soon enogh more and more buildings began popping up, some very old and beaten down, while others had the new present day look to them. Lapis looked at some of the new buildings, seeing that some were built in the style of the older buildings. She hated the way they looked, cause to her she could still see the modern layout of the building. The further they walked, the less the older buildings appeared. They made a right and quietly made their way down a alley way. Peri had been giving small hints on where to the turn, her anxiety completely controlling her. She felt choked up, and when she did try to speak up, either nothing came out, or she was too quiet to be heard. Once they were in the alley way, she began looking up and around, checking surroundings. She looked up at Lapis and saw as her soft still somewhat messy hair bounced and waved in the wind. Her facial features soft and her eyes straight forward on a goal she did not yet know. Peri blushed once she caught herself staring. ' I can look right? I mean she is my girl.. friend now right?' She tried to reason with herself. She shook her head and fixed her glasses, taking lead once again once they exited the alley. Lapis raised an eye brow, looking over her small framed yet decently curvy body.
