Chapter 28

Once inside their apartment peridot immediately went for an ice pack. She held it to her side and exhaled slowly. Lapis sat on the edge of the bed and looked at the ground.
" I know you've been holding back on yelling at me. I know I deserve it now, for pulling this stunt." There was silence that lasted a couple minutes before Peri finally said something. Lapis looked at her and noticed that she was crying.
" Peri wha-"
" How could you!? Do you have any idea how scared I was when I figured out that you were going to see Malachite? Thank obsidian that Garnet picked me up and we followed you! What the hell! What if we didn't come? Did you even think about what he could do to you?! Fuck Lapis, use your brain for diamonds sake!" Peridot was pacing back and forth, having dropped the ice pack on the floor. Lapis listened and watched her, unable to say anything. Finally Peridot stopped and faced Lapis. " If you ever do something like that again, I'm... I'm.." Lapis braced herself. " I'm going to whoop your ass!"
" Wait what?"
" You heard me Lapis Lazuli! I'm gonna kick your ass!" Lapis was shocked, mainly because she didn't hear what she expected.
" Not.. not break up with me?"
" Now why in White Diamonds hell would I do that?"
" I.. I don't know honestly." Peridot sighed and face palmed herself. She had stopped crying at this point in time.
" You really are a clod.
" Hey.. that's not very nice." Lapis said, frowning.
" I'll die before I break up with you voluntarily. And we've been together a month. Stars alot has happened." Lapis thought about it and nodded. Peri was right. She didn't know what to say or what to do, so Lapis just looked back at the ground. Peridot muttered to herself before lifting Lapis' chin and making her look her in the eyes. Peridot stared for alittle bit which made Lapis blush. Peri then kissed her forehead and let her go.
" Do you think you can not do something dumb for at least two weeks?"
I ~ think I can do that." Peridot rolled her eyes and snorted.
" That's good enough for me."
A year had past since the incident with Malachite. Lapis and Peridot were still together, as well as Amethyst and Pearl. Garnet was still a lone ranger, saying she was in a relationship with herself. Lapis and Peridot had moved out of the apartment and into a beach home with the help of Lapis' mom. There were multiple rooms so the others came and stayed the night alot. During that time alot had been done. Lapis was in a band with Sadie, who was a coworker of theirs. Peridot had started streaming her games, and was proud of her content. It also helped alot that Lapis walked around with barely anything on most of the time. Peridot also worked at this doughnut shop, and found the two others annoying. Lars and Sadie had a weird relationship she thought. Everything seemed to be going well for them.
The beach was quiet, having no visitors on this bright and sunny day. The waves crashed up on shore, leaving behind starfish and other sea life. All was peaceful, but if you listened closely you could hear the faint sound of music. Lapis had just returned home from her shift at work and was tired. She kicked off her shoes and sat in the sand, relaxing and taking a breather. It wasn't busy, but standing around doing nothing tired her out. She did her best to ignore the faint sound of bass playing in the background. Eventually she couldn't and got up to go investigate. The closer she got the louder the music got. Lapis noted that it was some sort of Edm. But when she got to the stairs she could tell it was something different. The beat was alittle slower and there was a melodic sound to it. Lapis climbed the stairs and walked in, and found Peridot in the middle of the living room dancing. Lapis loved to watch her dance, and what she saw now only reinforced that. Peri was slowly turning in circles, moving her hips in a rather seductive way. She had her eyes closed, so she didn't see Lapis come in. Peridot swiveled down to the ground, and then back up. She took a step, tensed her body and then began to move in what seemed like stiff movements. Suddenly she relaxed, paused, and waited for the beat to drop again. When it happened Peri began to move fluidly, moving her body and arms in the way the ocean moves. Lapis just smiled and watched her. The more the song played the more into it Lapis got. She was nodding her head to the beat slowly. Soon she got up and walked over to Peri, and took her hand. She moved behind her and swayed back and forth. Peridot opened an eye and smiled, before closing it again. Lapis kissed her neck and together they swayed until the song was over. Peri let go of Lapis and paused it, because it was on repeat.
" I really like that song Peri. What is it?"
" It's called Sweet Love by Olmos. I found it today while song surfing."
" I'll need to add that to my playlist. How was your day off?"
" Eh, boring because you weren't here."
" Awww, how sweet of you." Lapis moved in for a kiss, and Peri met her half way. They embraced for sometime, before separating for air.
" Well now what should we do?" Peridot moved behind her and used her nails to scratch her back. Lapis gave a small moan.
" I know what's next. Upstairs, and get undressed." Lapis did just that. When Peri made it upstairs she found Lapis on the bed with a towel covering her butt. Peri found her oils and put alittle bit on her hands. Slowly, she pressed her hands into Lapis' back and began to massage her. Peri was firm, but gentle at the same time. She moved her hands all along Lapis' back and between her shoulder blades. She moved up to the base of her neck and massaged there as well. Peri moved to the small of Lapis' back. She moved in small circles, then up her spine, pressing her thumbs along the spine till she reached the base of her neck.
" I'm gonna try something new, could you sit on the floor for me?" Lapis sighed and moved down to the floor, dropping the towel on the floor. Lapis sat between Peridots legs and leaned her head back. Peri moved her hands through her hair and started to massage Lapis' head. She ruffled her hair and then went to scratching. Lapis moaned again and smiled.
" Ohh~ This feels really good~" Peri smiled and continued, moving around her face and massaging her cheeks. She then went up to her forehead and started to scratch there as well. Peridot didn't know when Lapis fell asleep, but when she did notice she woke her back up and got her to lay in the bed. Peri got in next to her and laid down, turning off the lights.
" Good night my love."
" Good night.."
The night ended early for them, and together in their new house they slept soundly.
