~Chapter 10~

" Hello you two, I figure everything is well?" Peridot could hear Garnet's strong voice through the phone. Lapis and her began to chat, while Peri laid there waiting for her to hand the phone over. But it didn't hapoen. Lapis simply said see you tonight, and hung up.
" Wait.. that's it? No.. no lecture? No nagging?" Peri asked confused.
" Nope, they just wanted to know you were safe. Garnet figured last night was long for you in more ways then one hehe.. and decided to just see you tonight when you are more rested." Lapis began to strip.
" You say rest but here you are getting undressed." Peridot said with a look.
"I'm actually just hot, but I can see what's on your mind huh?" Lapis moved in and bit Peri's neck, and listened to her breath in and grip her shoulder, her small hands holding her close. Lapis kissed her neck after, and laid her down, rummaging her hand through her hair. Peri muttered something about being riled up and not having anything done about it. She soon calmed down as she felt Lapis's finger glide around her head and lightly pull at strands of hair, and moving her hand between her bangs. Soon enough Peridot fell asleep, and turn towards Lapis, her head buried into her chest. Lapis tried getting up to retidy things, but everytime she did, a moan of protest came from Peri.

Eventually Peri woke up, and Lapis called Garnet again, and let her know. She hung up and helped Peri get dressed, and dressed herself as well, brushing and combing Peri's hair, which she didn't like at all. Once getting ready was done, Peri decided to start cooking, another small passion she had.
" Hey, Peri? What's that smell?"
" I'm.. uh cooking?"
There was silence. " Cooking what smartass."
"You'll see.. I wanna surprise the others. I don't really cook often in front of people. I get scared of what they will say."
" Then what makes tonight different?"
" Well.. um.. because of.. you.. ya know? And me.."
" Cause we're dating now?"
".... Mhm..." Peri fell silent, concentrating on stirring the sauce that was in the pot, watching as a few bubbles popped splashed the side of the pot. She was careful to keep the temp low enough to not burn it, moving the wooden spoon around the edge to make sure none was sticking.
Lapis waited, checking her phone and messaging back a few people, telling them she went to a friend's house, and heard about the whole Peridot thing. She decided it was best for Peri's sakw not to say anything about it until she was comfortable with it all.
" Babe?" Lapis called. Peri said nothing. " Babe." Still nothing. " Babe! What are you so focused on in there?"
Peri stuck her head out the kitchen doorway. " Um.. you know there's no Babe in the kitchen right? It's just me. Who is this.. Babe? Old friend?" Peridot raised in eyebrow, clearly not joking. Lapis looked at her with disbelief.
" Peri.. are you serious?"
" Well duh, we've been alone since last night."
Peri.. hahah.. Hahahahaha! Peri you're babe. I was calling you hahaha!" Lapis tipped over, holding g her stomach and raising her knees up and laughing. " You do know that people in relationships tend to have pet names, or whatever like Babe, baby, princess, or other things like that?"
" I uh.. was not aware.." Peri had by now set the pot back on the stove and set it to low, everything now just waiting till the other three showed up. She came back out and sat in the edge of the bed, looking embarrassed.
" So then I should call you things like that?"
"You don't have to, it's just the norm." Lapis said, trying to stop giggling. " Or you could make up something only you can call me by, that way it makes it extra special."
" Make one up?" Peri questioned.
" Yes.. like I could say Dancer, or since you like alot of SciFi, My little Alien. Or maybe Ri-Ri.. yea.. I like that. Ri-Ri." Lapis looked up satisfied.
" Ri-Ri huh.. it has.. a nice ring to it.." Peri began to think, wondering what a good yet cute name would be for Lapis. " Um.. Lapi? Haha.. it's kinda like my shortened name. Let's see here. Hmm.. Well this is harder for me since I'm not sure.." Peri stopped and thought about the way Lapis made her feel when she was around her. Hope she could never really seem to explain the way she was feeling, but also loved everything about it. " My Reason.."
" Hm? Well I guess that works but.. why-"
" Because you are my reason. I felt ok enough to dance around you, let you take my first time.. hell, I'm even cooking for you now! Not even Garnet was really able to break this.. shell of mine as quickly as you. Not sure what it is.. but something about you makes me want to impress you. I guess it's just fear of you leaving, logically speaking."
Lapis was quiet. Peri looked up in time to see Lapis fling herself at her, holding her close.
" Lapi? Are you ok?"
" Oh god you oblivious cutie.. I'm doing more than just ok right now!" Lapis said, smiling brightly. Peri Wrapped her arms slowly around Lapis, still uncertain if it was the right thing to do in this situation. When Lapis didn't object, she figured she did good.
It was then that a knock came from the door, and they broke apart. Peri frantically ran to the kitchen, Lapis assuming she was still scared. So she got up and unlocked and opened the door, seeing three faces looking with content back at her. Pearl was the first to say something.
" So I figured you would answer the door, thank you for staying with her last night."
" Oh, it was no problem at all. Good things came from it."
" Holy shit, who is cooking! Watch out bitches! Mama's gonna go grub!" Amethyst shouted, moving past Garnet and Pearl and into the house. Pearl followed, shaking her head. Garnet last stepped in and stopped near Lapis.
" So, I'm sure that last night was a doosy with all of the emotions flying around.  Just a thought, but do you happen to have any feelings for Peri?" Garnet said, Lapis clearly seeing she was hinting at something and trying to confirm her own suspicions.
" Well oh.. with that.." Lapis blushed abit and looked away, for wahtever reason unable to meet Garnet's eyes. " We are kinda dating.."
"Wha-"
" What the fuck!! Peridot is a cook? That looks so good! Whatcha make us? Oh man when you learn to do this shiz?" Garnet was interrupted before she could finish, as Amethyst had clearly found Peri now. Peridot fidgetted back and forth, just quietly mumbling and stepping aside for her to smell it.
" I had no idea that you could cook Peridot." Pearl said, surprised as well. I think it has been a very long time since you last did this, and it seems to have come out great!" Peridot blushed and smiled, looking down. Garnet and Lapis came into the kitchen as well and Lapis moved to stand next to Peri.  Pearl raised her eyebrows as Peri leaned against Lapis and hugged her arm abit, after tilting her head to listen to something Lapis had said.
" You two.. after just.. one night? What? How..?" Pearl struggled for words while Garnet stood there with a large smile. It took awhile for Amethyst to catch on, looking between both of them confused.
" Pearl, I don't get what you're freaking- holy shit you guys are a thing now!" Lapis giggled alittle, and Peri looked up, doing her best to look everyone in their eyes.
"Y-yes."
