Backstory book for my Instagram Fic "It's You."

I didn't mention that in the last book because...
"Look at this," I told Y/n, showing her my phone that was open to a photo Dinah had taken of us earlier today.
"That's cute," she commented, smiling brightly at her photo of us holding hands.
"I'm gonna post it," I told her, watching her face drop slightly. "You don't want me to post it?"
"No, it's not that I don't want you to. I just didn't know if you minded us being so public," she said. "Like, that photo is pretty obvious."
"Y/n, i've told you before that I don't mind being public about us," I explained, watching her nod at me.
I quickly typed a caption and posted the photo, watching her face as she clicked the notification.
"All I need?" She asked, trying to tame her smile but failing miserably.
"All I need," I said, pulling her into my arms and kissing her forehead as she giggled.
"You're cheesy as hell," she told me, kissing my lips.
Our lips stayed connected as we moved in sync. I felt myself get lost in the kiss, feeling her hands trail up and weave through my hair to pull me closer.
She straddled my lap as I swiped my tongue across her bottom lip and she granted my access.
I heard her moan slightly when our tongues made contact, and that was enough to take my breath away.
I slowed the kiss down, gripping her hips as our faces stayed close enough to feel her breath on my lips.
"I love you," I mumbled against her lips, my eyes widening when I realized what I let slip.
She seemed taken back by what I said, but quickly recovered when she pulled me into a gentle kiss, seemingly trying to calm my nerves.
"You don't have to say it back if you're not sure," I told her when we pulled back a second time.
"I'm sure that I'm falling for you," she told me, kissing my cheek gently. "Everything is still a little blurry right now though."
"I completely understand," I told her, ignoring the fact that it stung a little but I knew it was still early.
"I'll work on it. I promise," she told me, sending me a reassuring smile, which I returned.
"Thank you."
