I didn't mention that in the last book because...
"You were amazing today," Y/n complimented as we sat outside on the balcony of our hotel room.
"Thank you. It means a lot that you think so," I told her honestly.
I was exhausted after preforming at Lollapalooza today. Y/n suggested we sit outside and stargaze, and I was glad she did.
"It was my first time watching you live," she told me.
"Oh, shit," I said. "I didn't even realize."
"Yea," she smiled, leaning into my side.
I kissed her head, making her sigh in content.
"The rest of my family are coming to the Austin festival next week," I told her. "You think you'd be up for meeting my dad and sister?"
"Do they know who I am?" She asked nervously.
"They know I'm dating you, and I'm sure they already know all about you from what my mom told them," I admitted with a laugh.
"I'd love to meet them," she told me with a smile, making my heart leap.
"What about your family?" I asked her, feeling her tense in my arms.
"Did I cross a line?" I asked quickly.
"No, I'm sorry. I never told you about my family did I?"
I shook my head no and she sighed as she sat up.
"I don't have any siblings and my parents kicked me out of the house when I came out to them," she told me, and the thought made my heart ache.
"How could they do that?" I asked, to which she just shrugged.
"I'm just glad I did it after I graduated. I had already booked a few modeling gigs in LA so that's why I moved out there so soon. I haven't spoke to them since," she told me.
"I'm sorry I asked," I told her, knowing she must be upset about the fact that this happened.
"No, we were bound to have this conversation eventually. I'm sorry you'll never get to meet them," she said sadly.
"Don't be. I don't want to meet them if that's how they treated you," I told her, pulling her into a hug and kissing her cheek.
"You're amazing," she told me, leaning forward and pecking my lips.
"I love you," I told her.
"I love you too."
