When Peter walked into the kit hen he knew that something was not right. First of all, all the lights were turned off, thing that never happened unless someone asked FRIDAY to do so; and second his spider sense was ringing in the back of his mind, like a little bother, it wasn't bad, it has been a long time since he got his powers and Peter had figured them out already. That sensation wasn't exactly 'danger', it was more like 'someone's trying to surprise you but won't actually hurt you', so he didn't went Spiderman full mode.

Instead, he concentrated in his hearing, trying to find the beating of a heart or a breath. And he found it, surprisingly it wasn't one- like he thought, that maybe Tony has wanted to scare him-, he heard four heartbeats.

Okay, so four people, the Avengers probably, he thought that maybe Tony had convinced them into his little prank, too.

Then he heard their breathing. And he got confused. He counted again, but the numbers were right, he didn't count wrong.

It was strange, four heartbeats and five different breathes.

However, he didn't have much more time to process it, as his senses screamed to him that someone was attacking from behind.

Letting his instincts kick in he turned around and all in a fluid motion threw his webs to whoever tried to jump into him.

After that all became a mess, the person stayed glued to the wall but other los started to move, too. Peter got them all webbed up in a record time.

The lights came back and when his senses calmed down, and the adrenaline got out of his system, he could think and see clearly.

Webbed to the kitchen walls were the Avengers, in bone and flesh. They were wearing casual clothes and had no weapons, which confirmed what his spider sense told him, they wanted to scare or surprise him only.

There were Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson and The Vision.

"Oh! Sorry- sorry" Peter said when he realized what he did. He attacked the Avengers. But in his defense they wanted to do the same to him.

"Don't worry, young one" said Vision, going through his webs as if they were a mere illusion "We apologize for scaring you, too. We just wanted to... how did you called it, Sam?"

"Check your skills in a little initiation ritual" Sam said and looked down, all his torso was covered in webs "Oh, man! Not again!"

Bucky and Sam shared a look.

"Those are some reflex you got there, kid" said Steve, impressed. He had seen some of his skills in Germany, he knew the kid was incredibly strong and agile, but that was it.

"Thanks" he looked down, blushing. Captain America just complimented him.

Tony walked in that moment, looking tired and in a big need of his morning coffee, as always.

Maybe that was why it took him so long to understand what he was seeing before he started to laugh.

"The kid got you" he said as he ruffled Peter's hair and started to make some coffee.

"Yeah, we tried to surprise him" Natasha then added "Not a good idea, I see"

"There's food in the counter, I use to make breakfast" Steve explained, moving his head in the direction of the food.

"Thanks. We were eating leftovers and fast food for way too long"

"Hey!" Tony put a hand in his chest.
