Three more days passed until they found a clue in where the kid might be.
Well, they didn't exactly found it, or was most likely that it found them. And that was what they were dreading the most.
Tony was looking through the computer they found when they were looking for Peter when the screen suddenly went dark, making Tony groan, he was pretty sure there wasn't a clue there in where to find Peter, but if there was he wasn't taking any chances in the computer breaking.
Before he could do something to solve it, in the screen appeared an image- a location-. It was a map of the city and it's surroundings, with a red circle above a location in the far south, above the circle said one word, but it was enough to make Tony's heart skip a beat "Spiderboy".
"What the..." he whispered to himself, too out of it to really process what that was, too sleep deprived and worried to really understand what was happening not before at least two minutes.
————————————————————————
Just one day after they got the device out of Tony they received a phone call. It was expected, but they were too preoccupied about Peter to think about it, which lead to the Avengers feeling pretty guilty for not thinking about it when FRIDAY transmitted the call in the living room, where there was half the team, including Rhodey, Natasha, Bruce, Scott, Sam, Bucky and Steve.
"Incoming call from May Parker" FRIDAY said.
Natasha's eyes went wide remembering the first video they received, it said something about May, right? She was engaged in trying to track the device, but she had a vague memory of someone mentioned that they did to her what they had done to Tony, with the device, and that they were going to disable the damned things.
"Accept it FRIDAY" Steve ordered, looking just as Nat, looking through the room she could tell that almost everyone was thinking the same thing, except Scott, who looked confused as hell as to why they were that shaken up for a phone call.
"Oh my god-" came a woman's voice- May's voice- "What the hell happened, Tony? Is Peter with you? I- I don't know what happened, I didn't- didn't want to say all those things. But I don't know why I did it, Stark?!?!"
"We are not Stark, ma'am" Bucky replies politely, he even looked polite, with his hands folded behind him and an innocent look in his face; they all had noticed how they unconscious did it, he went all "Gentleman-from-the-last-decade" when he had to talk to someone who he wasn't familiarized with "He- I don't think he is available at the moment"
"I need to- To talk to him, or Peter! Do you know where my nephew is?" she asked, her voice breaking in the middle of the sentence. I wish we knew, though Bucky.
There was a beat of silence where everyone looked ya each other with conflicted looks until Steve took a deep breath and began to talk.
"Hello, Miss Parker, I'm Captain Steve Rogers, and I'm really sorry to inform you that in your absence you nephew was kidnapped, me and the rest of the team are doing our best to find him, I assure you: your nephew will be okay, he has the Avengers in his side" Steve said mechanically, almost robotically, as if he had practiced that speech in front of a mirror hundred of times. Bucky realized- which took him more time than he would have liked- that his best friend just used the words that were used in the army when a letter had to be written to a family member about the situation of their soldier family.
There was a choked sob in the other end of the line and ragged breathing "When- when did that- that happened?"
"If you want we could explain everything that happened in the last months over here at the tower, we can have Happy pick you up, ma'am" Bucky respondes, feeling like this was a conversation that couldn't be handled over a phone call.
