The next day Peter found himself in his school, he had stayed the night at his aunt's apartment, but he had asked Happy to pick him up from school once it was over, he had promised his aunt that he was going to talk to Mr. Stark, and he realized that even if his mentor didn't want to see him anymore then, at least, he could apologize for being a brat.
The morning passed by in a bubble of nervousness and guilt. As he had more and more time tot hunk about what he said to his mentor the last time he saw him he felt more and more guilty and nervous about what could happen after school.
It was last period and he couldn't stop looking at the clock, he wished he had Wanda's power instead of his so he could make the clock turn quicker.
"Dude" Ned hissed once their professor turned around to write in the whiteboard "What's up with you? You're all jumpy"
Only then Peter realized he had been tapping his fingers uncontrollably on the table, he stopped and looked guiltily at his friend.
"Yeah, you okay? You're acting stranger than normal" it was Flash's voice, he was seated behind Ned and had heard their conversation. God, he could never get used to Flash not being a jerk to him.
"Yes- Yes" he replied as he wrote notes in his notebook.
"You sure, Peter?" Ned said.
"Yeah. I just had a fight with Tony" he mumbled back, without looking up from his notebook.
"What?" Ned looked at him confused, his friend and Tony never fought before... not that he had known about at least, they always seemed happy to be with each other and cherished the time they spent together. They were both people who had lost enough to know that you can't take for granted everything good you have, so they always liked being together.
"Yeah, my fault. I'm going to the tower after school to apologize"
"You should do it, man" Flash whispered before starting to pay attention to the class again.

"Maybe we could use your satellite, Stark, find that thing- or person-" Scott told him, he had come for a bit as his daughter was with his ex-wife and her husband "Or I can ask Hope, I'm sure her dad has a satellite"
"I already did that, but it isn't going to tell us where the blue thingy is until it appear again" Tony answered, his hand massaging his temple, they had been at this all morning and he hadn't slept.
"What- When? Why didn't you tell us?" Steve responded in all his leader glory.
"Last night, I'm sure that if I had woken y'all up at three just to tell you this you'd kicked my ass back to Manhattan"
"Tony..." Natasha looked at him with disappointment in her eyes "You should had been sleeping like a normal person"
He rolled his eyes and felt his frustration rise "You don't get to look at me like that, Romanoff. You think I don't know that? I had a long time, so if we could just wrap this up so I can get another cup of coffee I'd be greatful"
"I say we put up a trap" Sam commented, leaning back against the wall and crossing his arms.
"Like what?" Clint asked as he took a seat in the couch, Natasha following him.
"I don't know, like the ones in the movies when a cell appears out of nowhere"
"Are you kidding?" Loki looked as irritated as Tony felt in that moment.
