"Peter, we need to set some rules" Tony told the kid firmly "You can't just patrol all night"

"It wasn't all night" Peter mumbled, looking down "And I'm sorry, okay? I just lost track of time, it won't happen again. I don't need a curfew"

"I'll still set one, and Karen will personally alert me if you exceed it" Tony said, it was a few weeks after his birthday that Peter came back from patrol at 3.30 am and almost gave Tony a heart attack; it also was a school night and he had to do something about it, he was the kid's father after all.

"Dad!" at his dad's warning look he cut his complaints, looking down, he knew it was wrong what he did, but he really didn't notice how late it was until Tony called him "Okay... I'm sorry, it won't happen again"

"No, it won't" the billionaire said with a firm voice; then his eyes softened and so did his posture, ruffling Peter's hair "Sorry, but no responsible adult would let their kid fight crime 'til 3.30 am on a school night, kiddo"

For some reason Tony could not understand his kid's eyes lit up and he smirked.

"Wait here for me, dad" he told the man before running to the kitchen.

Peter rummaged through the kitchen until he found what he was looking for, with a devilish grin he grabbed a piece of watermelon and climbed the wall, silently walking on the ceiling to where his dad was waiting for him.

Then, without warning, he threw the watermelon at his dad's head with the battlecry of 'Yeet!'

"What the fuck?!" Tony exclaimed when something hit his head before seeing pieces of something red fall form his hair to his shoulder and to the floor. It was wet and sticky.

The billionaire turned around to see his kid dropping from the ceiling and not only his heart skipped a beat like it always did when he saw Peter do things like that, but he also looked at the kid with a mixture of confusion and anger.

"What the hell, Peter?" Tony asked him, taking a piece of watermelon between his fingers and squeezing it "Is this watermelon?"

"Ye- Yeah" Peter stuttered laughing, grabbing his belly as he bent down.

Tony took a deep breath, this kid was sending him to an early grave "And why exactly did you decide to throw a watermelon at me, son?"

Peter laughed a bit more before calming himself down "You- You remember that day you told me to hit you with a watermelon when you started acting like most responsible adults? Well, I just did it"

Tony didn't know if he wanted to cry or to laugh, probably a bit of both.

"Little s-" Tony began but was cut off by Cap, who nobody noticed before.

"Language" and then Steve kept walking past them.

"God. You're gonna be the death of me, kid" Tony groaned, getting the pieces of watermelon off his body "Y'know, it's your fault I have to act like a responsible adult"

"But you love me" Peter chuckled as he started to walk away.

"I do" Tony agreed nodding "But you're so going to pay for that"

Then Tony started to chase Peter, both laughing as Peter ran just quick enough so Tony wouldn't reach him but not using his full and enhanced potential.

"Come here!" his dad shouted playfully as he tried to reach his kid.

"Never!" Peter laughed, enjoying this moment with his father.

Tony followed him to the living room, where they found Bruce walking out of the elevator.

"Grab him!" Tony shouted to his fellow scientist but Bruce just looked at them oddly before slowly getting inside the elevator again and closing the doors "Traitor" the engineer mumbled.

Peter laughed and then went to flip over the back of the couch, not noticing Steve sitting there, Tony did though.

"Grab him, Steve! He can't get away" Peter heard his dad shout and only then he realized that the soldier was sitting on the couch drawing something peacefully, but it was too late, he was already jumping in the air.

Steve looked at him and then grabbed his wrist,  making Tony laugh as he reached the kid.

"Not fair" Peter pouted.

"Of course it's fair!" then Tony started to like the kid's sides and Peter squirmed and squealed "No!" the kid said with warning, as if he was planning on doing something to stop his dad's tickles, as if he didn't love this little moments he shared with the man.

"Yes" Tony smiled, poking and squeezing his kid's side making the kid snort and laugh.

The man smiled as his kid laughed and giggled, swatting his hands in the air to stop him from tickling him.

"Wa- Wait" the kid stuttered between laughs "You- Are- Going to get- Get me sticky" Peter tried to convince him as his dad kept tickling his belly and ribs.

Tony snorted "You are like, the stickiest person in the earth" he then moved to ruffle the kid's hair, but he kept tickling him with one hand.

"But- But not because- Of- Of a water- Watermelon"

"And whose fault is that?" the billionaire asked as he gave a final squeeze to his kid's side before letting the kid breath. He sat down beside where the kid was laying on the couch.

Peter panted and gasped as he tried to start breathing normally again, sitting up next to his dad.

Tony smiled at him and Peter glared jokingly.

After a few minutes of silence the man talked again.

"But seriously, it's important to me that you get home before the curfew, yeah?" Tony looked at him and Peter nodded.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to come back late"

His dad sighed "Look, Pete, I don't really care if it's a school night or not, but... you really scared me last night when I woke up and saw you weren't back, I thought something happened to you. So if you don't do it for your sake, then do it for mine, okay?"

"I will, I'm sorry, I didn't meant to worry you, dad" the kid told him and Tony smiled softly.

"I know, you're a good kid, Pete" his dad then hugged him "I love you"

Peter smiled against his dad's chest "I love you too, dad"

They kept like that for a few more minutes before Peter pulled away.

"You got watermelon all over me" he scrunched his nose "Gross"

"Not so fun, is it?" the man remarked, chuckling, before running a hand through the kid's hair and looking at him lovingly "Go to shower, Spiderbaby"

"I'm not a baby!" Peter pouted, looking adorable.

"Sure you aren't, Spiderbaby"
