Months had passed and Peter was going to admit, things were great. The team was all back together and they had became accustomed to have Pietro back with them. His relationship with his aunt was as good as always. School was... school, stressful and boring, but Tony always knew how to calm him down when it became way too much; and he still could hang out with his friends there, so it was tolerable.
And his relationship with his dad was great, after he had his memories all had been going great, not more problems, not more mad people trying to tore him apart- not more than normal-. And now, he was turning seventeen. Everything was great.
Tony had organized a small party for him and his friends in a nice place that was a restaurant but also there were a lot of games you could play there. His dad had wanted to make this big party with lots of people and things, but he had rejected, he didn't want that.
But he didn't stop him from making another party in the day of his actual birthday- as the one with his friends was two days before-, it was still small, but he liked it, this was for his family only.
All of the team was there, as well as his aunt and his dad.
"You like it?" Tony asked Peter when the team wasn't looking.
His dad had said it casually, but Peter knew him well enough to know that the question had been bothering him for some time, and he also saw the nerves and the insecurities in the way his dad adverted his eyes a little very now and then and how he tapped his hand impatiently against his leg.
Peter smiled at him "I love it! You're the best, dad!" he threw his arms around the man's torso and buried his face into it.
Tony chuckled, his insecurities dissipating, as he wrapped and arm around the kid's back and patted his head lightly "Glad you liked it"
"Thank you" Peter told him with such sincerity that he almost had to look away.
"It's my pleasure, kiddo"
Peter pulled away and smirked, a smirk that he had picked up form Tony.
"Want to see something precious?" Peter asked his dad with a gleam in his eyes.
"Should I be scared?" was the man's only response and his kid nodded.
"The floor is lava!" and with that simple phrase all hell broke lose.
Scott shouted terrified as he jumped onto the table, pushing Sam, who had the same idea, to the floor. Steve grabbed a few pillows form the couch that was nearer him and where May and Pepper where sat to throw them in the floor and make a bridge. Nobody knows how, but Natasha was on top of the fridge, smirking with pride. Bruce and Vision were already seated so they just put their feet up on the couch and watched the fun amusedly. Wanda was flying and was also grabbing her brother by the wrist to hold him just a few centimeters above the floor. Rhodey looked horrified at them all as he tried to jump in a chair but clumsily fell down, only to try again. Pepper was looking at them all with a mix of amusement and horror, shouting about how they were going to ruin the furniture. Clint was standing with a frightening balance on the dark times of the floor, shouting that they don't count. And Tony and Peter? Well, Peter had jumped onto his father's back the moment he shouted it, making the man stumble right to the floor.
