"Wake her up." Michael whines on the couch next to me. He shoots me puppy dog eyes and I shut my eyes tightly, trying to ignore the cute face.
"No! I want to let her sleep. I'll feel bad." I say softly. He glares at me and rolls his eyes.
"But we have to go to the studio soon to film more Cocktail Chats." Michael points out and I bite my lip, contemplating if I should wake her up so we won't be late.
"She may not even want to go." I retort. He shakes his head and chuckles loudly.
"Yeah right." He says, just as Lacie walks in with a happy smile on her face.
"Speak of the devil and she shall appear." I hear Luke mutter behind me. She obviously hears him, turning to glare at him. He holds his hands up, surrendering with a teasing smile on his face.
"Shush, Luke! Good morning, Lai." Michael greets her. She plops down in between both of us. Michael asks her how she slept and I take the time to look at her while they talk. She's got a bright yellow sundress on, silver sandals, and a pretty flower headband. Her brunette locks are braided to the side. She doesn't seem to bother with makeup still, and I appreciate that. She's pretty. Pain shoots through my head and I whip around to see Luke smirking down at me. He leans close, trying not to catch Lacie's attention.
"Stop drooling over her, you're making it obvious." He whispers, pushing my head hard backwards as he literally skips away. Someone's in a good mood. I breathe out a shaky breath and turn to Lacie. Putting a confident smile on my face, I scoot closer to the two.
"No! I hate spray cheese. You're insane." Lacie chimes. Michael gasps dramatically.
"No-"
"How did you two come up with this topic? I wasn't listening for 2 minutes!" I say, throwing my hands up in defeat. Lacie turns to me, her playful grin clashing with my irritated expression.
"Alright, you three! We have to go." Ashton shouts, making his presence in the room known.
"Wait, go where? What are we doing?" Lacie asks confusedly.
"We have to film more Cocktail Chats." Luke butts in. She raises her eyebrows.
"But, didn't you film them all at the same time? You're wearing the same thing in the first few." She explains. I grin when I hear that she's watched them. Of course she has. Ashton scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Well, uh, something came up while we were filming, so we had to stop. We were then told that todays our second recording day. We'll finish today." He says, and Lacie looks around, finally realizing that our outfits replicate the ones in the already recorded Cocktail Chats.
"So, it won't be the same though. You're wearing the same clothes, yes, but you guys won't be drunk. Not anymore." She states cleverly.
"It'll be fine. We'll catch up." Luke smirks.
"Yeah, and we usually act like we're drunk either way. That's just how we are." Michael says as he walks out the front door to the car and everyone in the room nods in agreement. I stand up, blowing out a long breath and turning to Lacie, holding my hand out for her to take.
"Let's head out, ma lady." I say. She smiles, taking my hand and pulling me out the front door. Ashton closes and locks the door to the condo behind us, rushing past to climb in the passenger seat before any of us.
"I call driving!" Michael screams, pushing Luke out of the way. He stumbles, turning around with a huge grin on his face.
"Muke." Lacie murmurs just loud enough for me to hear.
