-Connor's POV-
I feel my systems rebooting, my thoughts humming back into life. It took some time for everything to start back up; I'm not quite sure how long.

Slowly, I opened my eyes. My vision lenses were yet to be redialed and the small amount of light glared blindingly into my eyes; they took a moment to adjust to normal levels and I blinked once or twice. I am in a foreign bed, sitting up against a wall of pillows behind me. Infront of me is a blank white wall, and a window with the shades drawn is on the wall to my right. Golden light presses up against the curtains tinting the soft fabric a light yellow. I turn my head slowly letting my eyes scan the room. There is a wooden door and a small table, in the otherwise bare room. I look down to my left, Hank sits in the chair next to me, he is asleep his head resting on the edge of the bed.

His hand is holding mine, our fingers intertwined. It makes me happy to see; I smile slightly. The room is so quiet, almost to peaceful. My other arm lay limp at my side- It's a new part, -for some reason I can't move it.

That's not the only thing that doesn't feel right. I'm so weak, it feels like my internal batteries have all been drained- or removed.

I close my eyes a moment, running a self-diagnostic: Foreign biocomponent discovered: #6755.- foreign part offering insufficient power levels, all systems running on minimal power. Component required for repair: #6970. — Replacement part failed to bond with internal drive #3883v- more power required to bond.  — New optical unit #8087q bonded with internal drive. — Replacement parts bonded: #8067k, #5532 etc...

Well, that explains it. I opened my eyes and looked back at Hank. I think for a moment, but my systems run low and my units still need to charge. With a quiet sigh, I close my eyes switching to sleep mode.

-Hank's POV-
I opened my eyes. I must have fallen asleep.. With a sigh, I lift my head, rubbing my eyes with my free hand. It had been a few hours since everything happened, and they said Connor would come back to consciousness when his internal drive had reached a certain power level or something like that.

They had moved him into a human recovery room to charge - for most situations androids don't need to stay at the hospital after repair; Time to heal is a human need. Yet for some fucking reason one of Connors parts wasn't at the hospital, in fact most had never heard of it. I guess it was new when Cyberlife went under, so he's the only android with it..

I didn't really care about the technical bullshit side of it. I'm just glad that he is still alive, and I wish he would wake up. It might be selfish, but I need to hear his voice, I want to know he is ok.

The door creaks open and I glance up to see a tall slender woman entering doorway. Her face shifts when she sees me.

"Oh. Sorry, I wasn't expecting a visiter to be here." She muttered, walking into the room past the bed to the other side.

I simply looked at her. I guess my face said enough.

She cleared her throat awkwardly, "I'm a unique repairs specialist. I used to work in Cyberlife's modern engineering.-" She spoke to fill the air, as she began to scan Connor with a small device in her hands. "-I remember working on the RK series-well, I didn't work on it personally- there was a lot of controversy around there purpose, I truthfully never got the full story behind the sudden need for a detective android." She shrugged, I wished she would shut up.

She fiddled with the device in her hands, "Ah. I see, the previous mechanic replaced his 6970 with a 6755. That will work for a little while, the part is to large though, it is probably causing inconsistencies in his thirium pump. I can get you a 6970, but I'll have to build it, it could take a week.. maybe more, depends on how fast I can get the materials.."

Oh, thank god she is done talking. "Alright." I answered, hoping my minimal answer will push her closer to the door. Give me and Connor some peace, I've already heard this little speak from all the other mechanics that have helped.

"Alright." She picked up her stuff with a bit of a sigh, "In the mean time the 6755 will have to do, he'll be low on power, but he'll be functioning. Try to keep him from overworking his drives, they might overheat, kinda easily." She took a step toward the exit, hovering by the door. "I- Umm, I'll contact you when the biocomponent is done." She faced the door, for the love of god! Leave already!

She turned back and looked at me again, "Also, It said on my scan that his server failed to bond with the replacement arm, it might not until we get the right parts for him; that means he'll be unable to use it, I'll ask the workers here to see what they can do about that."

I just looked at her and she went through the door and began to leave. Right as I thought the onslaught of words was over she turned back standing in the open door, and said, "He is going to be perfectly fine. He is in good hands."

I nodded. And finally she left shutting the door slowly behind her.

I sighed. I know she did nothing to earn my frustration, hence my silence.

I hate this. I hate hospitals, they only remind me. Make me think of Cole. Lead me down to thoughts I have done my best to leave behind.

I turn back from the door, studying Connors still face. After a moment his eyes fluttered open slowly. I smiled taking a breath and giving his hand a little squeeze.

"hey." I spoke and he turned to look at me, a smile pulling at the edge of his pale lips.

"It's good to see you." He spoke quietly and I was glad to hear his voice once again.

"It's good to see you're back with us—Don't ever fucking scare me like that again you hear me!" Connors face shifts, and his eyes scan my face.

"Listen to me." I held his hand tightly as I spoke, "Your life is just as important- more important than mine! This isn't the Cyberlife days when you could just come back! There are no new Connors waiting for your memories back at Cyberlife tower, there is just this one. Connor, you die, you die. You can't go on suicide missions.- I don't want to lose you, Connor."

I don't want to lose you because it would kill me.

He looked back at me, yet to respond. He had a thoughtful face that shifted though a series of emotions. His brown eyes said so much, "I don't want to lose you either." He replied looking back to me innocently.

I stand and hug him, he wraps his arm around me,-At least he was alive.

AN: Alright! Here it is! Thanks for all the reads guys! I'm glad u enjoy the story! I was planning on getting this chapter out a little sooner, but I got the chance to go to a Panic! At the Disco concert and see him live for the first time. WORTH IT!! Yeah. Those who follow my other books (idk if any off u do) Will know I actually got cheated out of a set promised tickets to see P@TD by an Ex best friend last year. So.. seeing him live with real friends was a huge personal deal for me, I guess.

So I guess that was a weird irrelevant bit of info there. Hope u enjoy the fanfic so far!! And I've loved reading all the comments! Lol!! See ya!
