"jesus christ alex. lay off. i've known bryce my entire life. he would never ever do something like that." i say running my hands through my hair. "well he did." alex says getting angrier. "no he didn't!" i yell at him. "wanna know what's worse than being a rapist? hiding behind one." he yells getting up from his spot. i sit there silently and scratch at the marks on the table. "well?" he asks widening his eyes. "well what? what do you want me to say?! that my childhood friend is a fucking rapist? well congrats, you got me to say it and believe it. have a great day." i sarcastically say grabbing my bag and getting out of my seat. "(Y/N), wait." alex mumbles grabbing my arm. i stop in my tracks and turn my head. "i'm sorry." he whispers. i nod my head slowly and sigh. "i just don't want to believe it, i guess." i say looking down at my feet. "it's okay. he'll get what he deserves." alex says wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "let's go get a new coffee. i heard they were releasing a new flavor." i say smiling. "let's do it."
