The sounds of chirping birds was becoming unbearable as she lay in her blankets. She rolled over from side to side in discomfort, till her eyes finally flew open. She looked around to see if anyone was awake, but no one was, it didn't surprise her much, considering how long it took them to find a place to rest for the night. She looked over her shoulders to count if they were complete, but her eyes stopped in Kelvin's space which seemed to be empty.

She looked around, but didn't see a sign of him, she picked up her sword and began to walk towards his blankets. She examined them carefully then saw a pair of footsteps, from the edge of the blankets, lead out of the camp site. She followed carefully behind, not wanting to alert anything to her movements, the sound of rushing waterfall began to reach her ear as she followed on.

She stopped, on arriving at the falls. Before her Kelvin's sword was planted, head in the ground and the tracks led sideways, all the way down to the foot of the falls. From up where she stood she could see his clothes at the foot of the falls, but he was nowhere to be found. She hid behind a tree, not wanting to be caught by surprise in the act of spying.

After moments of waiting she gave up and decided to return to the camp, after sneaking one last peek. She popped her head from behind the tree. Not seeing anything at first, she decided to withdraw. Her eyes caught a glimpse of waves of water, grow from the middle. She gasped as Kelvin's head popped out of the water.

His wet hair clung to his neck as he stirred the water with his arms, to keep his body afloat. She watched as he swarm to the shallow parts till his torso was revealed. She felt her oceans raging as she examined his wet muscles and abs as they moved themselves aright in their perfectly carved array.
"Control yourself Edda " she whispered to herself with a smirk, as she shook her head.

He drew one long deep breath, jumped back into the water and disappeared into the the depths again. Grateful that she hadn't been caught, she ran all the way back to the camp. From a few meters away she observed that most of the squad where awake, she slowed her run into a walk as she approached the camp, hoping no one would notice her walk in.

Her heart leapt when Levi made a surprise pop from the side of a tree to her front, the shock making her take a step back to regain her balance. He propped himself up by a tree, crossed his legs and folded his arms. He looked down at her inquisitively, but she didn't look up to his face avoiding any chance that her face would give away the lack of confidence she was experiencing at the moment.

"where are you coming from? " he asked menacingly.

"since when did you become the boss of me" she snapped, still not looking up.

He smiled at her for a while, then leaned in towards her, but she stopped him with her hands, pushing against his chest.

"we've discussed this already, I'm not ready." she said as she side stepped and walked away.

"why" he asked spreading out his arms. Edda just walked on, not even turning in his direction. "perhaps there's somebody else."

She froze at this sentence. She turned towards him, selecting the right words to say, she opened her mouth but no word came out. She turned around and walked off to her spot to pack up her blankets.

Levi was tending to his horse when kelvin walked in, his sheathed sword in hand. He paused to look at him for a bit, it then dawned on him that he hadn't seen him that morning, and to think of it he was coming from the same direction that Edda was, moments ago. He struggled with the calculations of the thoughts that were erupting from his mind. Finally finding stability. he turned to Edda to see her eyeing kelvin cautiously, who didn't seem to notice either one of them. Upset with the impressions he was having, he called the entire squad to move out.
