Days earlier:

                    Kelvin stood at a junction, before the Cathedral, surrounded by  the Calvary,  pointing spears at him from all directions. He had managed to get them away from the gate and back into the city,  except the archers on the wall,  but even they couldn't go after the squad since he had destroyed the gate controls.

The infantry too were in the area before long, and the entire square was clumsy, but none came close to him.  Kelvin didn't move either, but maintained his defensive stance. From the corner of his eyes he noticed the statue of a knigt by the cathedral, but ignored it when he saw archers, spreading all over the roof tops, and the cathedral windows.

A couple of minutes after they had set the perfect trap for him,  Duncan and his knights rode into the square, and lined themselves up horizontally side by side, among which Kelvin noticed Eruwine at Duncan's right hand,  and the other black flags he had seen earlier.
"reveal yourself stranger " Duncan ordered,  but Kelvin didn't move.
"I do not like to repeat myself " Duncan said, but Kelvin still didn't take off the hood.
Duncan looked sideways to Eruwine, and he got the message. He took a long glance at Kelvin, who he could see his face clearly although he couldn't. He moved his eyes to signal Kelvin to do as Duncan said, but his lack of movement, showed his reluctance to do so.

Eruwine snapped his fingers,  and spear men and swords men of the infantry unit stepped into the open all around him, and unsheated their weapons.
Kelvin sighed and brought out the Blackflag mask in his jacket,  then put it on,  before removing his sword for the imminent battle.
The other Blackflags hearts skipped beats as they noticed this action, even Duncan began to trace and read the action as an act of vengeance,  but just only him. Him  against that army. It was sheer stupidity, Duncan thought, even to the point of breaking a laugh accidentally. He then clapped once to commence the attack.

They charged at him from all directions,  but he patiently waited there till they entered within the range of his sword, before going on the offensive.
He ducked, unconsciously causing two spear men to thrust each other open, while he achieved his aim of cutting a swordsman behind the knee joint. He went on to the net and slashed twice,  the first hit breaking the iron armour and the second cutting him open. All this he did within a matter of seconds to the surprise of the audience, causing the other attackers to halt their movements, skeptical about attacking him again.

Their king clapped again,  to draw their attention, with an expression that revealed him inquiring what they were just standing there for.
The continued with the attack instantly,  but it was another in a series of flawless beatdowns. He jumped and smashed his sword against a soldiers helmet, sending him to the ground, the soldier got up again,  but he landed him another on the head, this time it cut the helmet open, and his head in the process too.

Before long,  there was hardly a place for him to place his foot,  as the square was loitered with dead infantry soldiers,  and this single assassin wasn't looking tired.
Duncan turned to Eruwine, and the other black flags at his side.
"he won't stand a chance against the Calvary my lord" one of them advised.
Duncan enraged,  signaled the Calvary himself.
Instead of swords, they readied spears and chains with which to capture him.

Kelvin bathed in blood splashes,retreated to the center again,  where he watched as the dead were drawn back into the army, he knew they were preparing another attack, but didn't know what it was,  not until he heard the snorting of horses around him.  He noticed the riders with chains, nets and spears, revealing their intentions to capture him.
He readied his sword with a double grip, so that it faced at least one of the horses preparing to charge at him.
Duncan stretched his arm out to signal the commencement of the attack,  and the horses charged head on.
