Edda's eyes flew open, when she felt a slight tug at her elbow, she hadn't even realized she was asleep on Kelvin's cold...cold?
A slight warm Movement below her startled her and sent shivers up her spine. She blinked her long damp lashes, then swallowed hard. She remembered the reason the guys burnt Leo's body immediately and fear began to creep in increasing her heart rate by the second. She felt another move and noticed it was a heartbeat. She drew herself down to his chest and it came again, she then noticed the hand that had touched her, move. the fingers moving slowly on the dry earth. She felt his breath upon her face as she looked up, and let out a gasp. She hugged him hurriedly, with an excited cry. Muttering " thank you God" repeatedly, in a barely audible manner.
Kelvin's eyes flew open. As he let out a cough. Every one sharply turned to them with shocked expressions.
"impossible " Levi murmured
Rava was speechless as he stood by a tree not too far from them. His eyes jammed Kelvin's as he looked on, and kelvin gave him an acknowledging nod, before slowly putting his arm around Edda.Although she was sweating, the scent of her hair was pleasant, a really inviting scent to wake up to. He buried his face into the side of hers till his nose touched her neck, and they stayed that way for a jealousy provoking long period of time. As expected Levi was watching with a burning hatred in his eyes. The whole squad saw it too and knew there would be trouble sooner than later. Kelvin was smart, he knew what was going on, he was the performer in this hell of a show, knowing what Levi was already thinking. He sent his arms down to her sides and tried to move her off him gently, but she won't budge, he applied more effort, but it yielded the same results. It then dawned on him that she wasn't ready to move.
After a couple more minutes she pulled backwards, then looked him in the eye curiously for a bit, then helped him up to her surprise, his cuts had disappeared, scratches and bruises also, but his steps weren't steady so she helped him walk forward, then Rava joined to help with his other arm.
"welcome back " Marcus Said as they passed his side
" for the record, i always knew there was something off about you, just wasn't quite able to figure it out " Vulcan also complimented, scattering Kelvin's hair with his hand. Kelvin only gave a weak smile as response as they ushered him on.
When they got to Mia, her eyes were almost as red as her hair, but she was wearing a happy face. She wrapped her arms around him him tightly, knocking both off his supports aside. Edda rolled her eyes the other way till she let go and then continued the rest of the journey back to the village with the others trailing behind.Later that evening, Kelvin lay, asleep in a well lit up room on the higher floors in the town hall. His sword and arm guards were placed on a table by his side, along with another wooden chair and table in a corner of the small room. It had two windows on the same side, one from which Ava watched the cremation of Gaitan's remains.
The entire squad formed a ring around the fire while the sympathizing villageers stayed behind them. A couple of minutes after Levi started the cremation, Edda took of her black cape put it in Rava's hand, bound her hair up, and walked back towards the town hall.Ava had left the window when she saw her coming, and sat at the table. She didn't have anything doing so she began examining Kelvin's chain, something was off about it, she had known it to have blood red ruby eyes, but both were now just shiny crystal stones. Before she picked it up to put on the wolf's neck, only one was red in color. She was trying to understand what it meant when Edda walked in.
"How is he" she asked removing her gloves and walking over to his side. She placed the back of her palm on his temple and neck to see if his temperature was rising, but it was okay. Rest assured that it was a normal sleep, she placed her daggers on the table and sank into another chair.
