chapter 51: Silver Swords And Chain's

                          They both rode down through the ruins looking directly at the boarder in the distance. The sun wasn't up yet, but there was enough light in the sky to make out what was going on down there, although it seemed to be nothing.

"You see Kelvin" Levi began " I never liked you back at the academy" he paused, looking sideways at him, but Kelvin kept his attention on the road " I noticed"
" i don't t quite remember what the reason was, but i know you always got on my nerves" he went on
" you sucked at all written tests, but were second to none in the field, that particular attribute made me think crude of you "

"And you , came top of class in everything, and... I didn't like any of the superiors either" Kelvin replied calmly.
"Why are you telling me this again? " Kelvin inquired
" well you see Kelvin, Everything has a beginning, and an end" Levi replied as the border became visible
Kelvin slowed his horse down when the sentence reached him, wondering if Levi was hinting something to him

"are you asking to make things right between us? "  Kelvin asked...
"considering the turn of events out here,  we are better off as friends than foes don't you think" Levi suggested handing his arm out to Kelvin.
Kelvin had expected a number of thing's,  but this wasn't one of them,  he held back at first, guessing it could be a trap.
After battling his thoughts for a while, he ignored all the negativity and he held out his arm too " well every one deserves a second chance"

Levi took his arm and shook it "we cool?" he asked
"yeah we're cool... "
Levi fell silent for a while looking quite sober,  Kelvin noticed but didn't bother to ask.
"let's go back " Levi suggested
"why" Kelvin inquired " who ever owns that wagon needs help"
"who ever it is, is probably dead by now" Levi retorted.
"cmon let's go see,  it never hurts to check" Kelvin replied galloping forward.
Levi looked diagonally to the earth, with a discomfort in his eyes, then back at Kelvin who was almost fifty meters from him.
Kelvin stopped when he noticed Levi wasn't moving,  then beckoned to him to hurry up.

An arrow tore through into Kelvin's joint between the arm and the shoulder of the arm he Was communicating with.
He drew it back in sharply and groaned. " Run it's a trap"
Levi drew out his sword immediately.
Kelvin dropped from his horse, grabbed the arrow with both hands and pulled it out. 
He heard a loud roar from his front and saw bandits, closing in. He looked back to see the tissue already repairing,  before pulling out his sword, in preparation for the imminent battle.

He thrust his blade into the first bandit easily,  and knocked down another down by the shoulder blade. He went on again to the next, but they just kept pouring out of the woods. He suffered a couple of cuts and staggered back for a break,  he wanted to turn around to find Levi but he couldn't afford to, since spears were pointing at him. He felt the urge to transform, but ignored it.  He gripped his blade tightly again, and knocked all the spears around him away.

He backpedaled and paused for a counter when a blade tore through his back, stinging more than a usual cut. He knelt to the earth with a grunt.  He dropped his blade,  and the bandits stopped attacking. He looked down at the blade and motioned to touch it, but it burnt his fingers.
Comparing it to his blade his eyes widened.
"silver" he coughed...  Spewing blood from his mouth, as it stung from the cut to the rest of the parts of his body.

                        Levi walked into his line of sight from his left, and raised his head with his foot.
"like I said...  Everything has a beginning,  and an end"  he kicked the side of his face,  sending Kelvin to the ground.
Getting weaker by the second he tried to touch the blade again, but it yielded the same results. He dropped his hands to the earth, and felt a liquid sensation at the tip of his fingers. He turned it up to see red,  a confirmation that he wasn't healing. His eyes slammed shut as he noticed some men bringing shinny chains to him
