I hope I haven't been disappointing y'all, just wanted to say thank you to my readers and voters, and please don't play the above soundtrack till the fifth paragraph where Kelvin obeys Levi's wishes, your in for a twist,  stay tuned.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The air reeked of seafood and everything related to damp and wet as they rode into the market before the wharf, the disorderly cluster of people parted ways autonomously for them as they raced in, knocking things over in diverse directions. For some reason the soldiers had not shot at them nor hurled any projectiles at them, but just seemed to keep pushing them into the bay steadily, with a uniformity about their movements, like a pack of wolves rounding up their prey.

Levi raised his hand to halt them as he searched the piers for a ship with the merchant's flags. “we need to split up" he ordered scanning the bay.

“what? Right now? " Edda asked moving to his line of view.

“Got any better ideas? " he asked looking her straight in the eyes. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out.

“I thought so." Levi concluded looking away.

“I think we're going to need your help again  Rava said popping up beside Ava.

“No...  It's too open here." she replied, her voice coming out as nothing but whispers.

He wanted to push her to yield but noticed a boy walk up to them, and began to circle about looking at their faces till he came to Kelvin. He stopped, pressed something into Kelvin's hand and nodded his head. The boy immediately ran off to the piers and pointed to the right,  before running off in that direction. The others looked expectantly at him as he opened the rough brown paper the boy had given him.

“black galleon, East of the  port" he read aloud.

“you heard the man! Let's go!" Gaitan urged.

“wait! "Kelvin called. “think Gaitan"

“That's two words that don't go together." Rava scoffed with a smile that melted to a slight yelp as Edda's fist collided with his shoulder.

“The ship is going to need time to leave the bay, if we go straight on, we'll just lead them straight to us, and they'll sink the ship before we've left the bay."

“he's right, we need a diversion." Vulcan added.

“looks like we're going to split up after all." Levi declared looking to Edda. “Kelvin take someone with you."

Kelvin knew what he meant and why. The silence passed between them for a bit, Kelvin looked up at the others who just avoided his eyes except Vulcan Mia, Rava and Edda.

He didn't want to be seen as the constant cause for conflict in the squad. So he obeyed reluctantly, pulling at the reins of his horse.

“No" Edda barked, turning to Levi.

“Got any better ideas?" Levi said again, a chill about his voice. “And this is a chance for him to prove himself " he concluded Jerking his horse forward as he rode away. She opened her mouth to respond but no words came out this time too,  having no one else to suggest as all eyes seemed to be on her

Edda returned her gaze to Kelvin with a grave look in her eyes, Carina Marcus Leo Ivan and Gaitan  followed after Levi,  while the others asked to fight alongside him but he refused their help, urging them to get the horses to the ship quickly.

“Kelvin I'm coming with you." Mia said tightening her grip around her horse's reins.

“no, go with the others,  it'll be difficult to get the horses on." he explained trying his hardest to persuade her.
