So we're taking the long way home

Cuz I don't wanna be wasting my time alone

I wanna get lost and drive forever with you, talkin bout nothing, yeah whatever, babe

"Hey you just passed my street." I say to Scotty as he turns the car in the wrong direction.

"Did I?" Scotty replies with a little smirk on his face.

"You did that on purpose." I say. Scotty keeps his eyes on the road, but continues smirking. He's driving with his left hand, while his right hand holds onto mine.

"I just wanted to spend a little more time with you." Scotty tells me as he lifts up my hand and kisses it.

"Are you going to miss me?" I ask Scotty, but I already know the answer. I just like hearing him say it. He's leaving the country tomorrow morning for a competition. I won't be seeing him for two weeks.

"Of course I'm going to miss you. That's why I'm trying to spend every possible moment I can with you." Scotty says. I smile, and then lean over to kiss his cheek. Scotty suddenly turns his head so he can kiss me on the lips.

"You need to focus on the road, boy." I say to Scotty as I pull away from his kiss. He sticks out his bottom lip to create a pouty face.

"But I'd rather kiss you." Scotty admits.

"Ok then. Pull over." I tell Scotty. He looks slightly surprised by this, but he does I say. The road is empty and dark. Scotty stops the car on the shoulder of the street, waiting for me to make the next move. I unbuckle my seatbelt and make my way towards Scotty. Our lips meet first. He unbuckles his seatbelt as we kiss. Scotty tries adjusting into a more comfortable position without ever taking his mouth away from mine, which isn't easy for him.

"I'm too tall for this damn car." Scotty says as he smashes his head on the top of the car. He rebounds quickly and goes back to kissing me. I begin to unbutton his shirt, when my cell phone starts buzzing in pocket.

"Dammit." I mumble. Scotty seems to just ignore my ringing cell phone and keeps his hands on me. I tug away from Scotty to check my phone, but he doesn't want to let go. "Babe, I've gotta check this."

I take my phone from my back pocket. I've got a missed call and several missed texts from my dad.

"Is it your dad?" Scotty says in an irritated tone.

"Yeah. We should get going." I tell Scotty. He sighs deeply. I settle back into the passenger seat, and then Scotty starts driving. He reaches for my hand to hold and I let him. We stay silent until we get near my house.

"Ok we're here." Scotty says.

"Go around the block again." I order. A smirk creeps onto Scotty's face.

"Really?" Scotty asks.

"Yeah. I'm not ready to say goodbye just yet." I tell him. Scotty doesn't hesitate another moment and starts driving again.
