"I'm not ditching Scotty, Seb. I'm sorry, but we'll just have to hangout another time." I tell Seb as turn back towards Scotty.

"Fine. I'll just hangout with you guys." Seb replies.

"Ok..." I say slowly as we walk towards Scotty. Seb puts his arm around my waist as we walk. I was not expecting this.

"Is everything alright?" Scotty asks with an annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah everything is great." Seb answers as he pulls me closer towards him.

"Great." Scotty replies. He looks completely pissed off.

"How about we go back into the party." I offer. I need to change this situation. Hopefully partying will lighten everyone's mood.

"Good idea, y/n." Seb says excitedly. He slides his arm off my waist. Seb then reaches for my hand. I watch as Scotty's eyes look from face down to where Seb is holding my hand. Seb begins to walk into the party with my hand in his.

"I'm just gonna stay here. You guys go." Scotty says as he sits back down on the bench we were sitting on ten minutes ago.

"Good idea, Scotty. See ya later." Seb says dismissively. I don't have a chance to say anything as Seb pulls me urgently into the party. "Want a drink or do you want to dance?"

"What was that back there?" I ask Seb once we finally stop walking.

"What do you mean?" Seb says innocently.

"You were totally rude to Scotty. And what was with you holding my hand and wrapping your arm around me? It seemed kinda weird. And right in front of Scotty?" I ask Seb. He seems surprised by my reaction.

"Don't get mad at me. You barely know, Scotty. You know me, y/n. I like you, y/n. I think that's kinda obvious and I wanted to hang out with you. What's wrong with that?" Seb asks me as if he did nothing wrong at all.

"Scotty was really nice to me and he didn't have to be. He doesn't deserve to be treated like this. I'm going back outside with him." I tell Seb.

"But...I like you and I thought you liked me too." Seb says as he reaches for my hand again. I pull it away from him. I'm not as mad at Seb as I am mad at myself. I should never have left Scotty.

"I do like you...well I did. I don't know. I don't like how you just behaved. That was really uncool." I say to Seb. I feel so conflicted. Earlier today Seb was all I could think about. Now I'm with him and I can't wait to leave.

"Sorry. I was just jealous I guess. I was shocked to see you here and then I was bummed to see you with Scotty. I'm not usually a jerk." Seb explains.

"I know you're not, but I've gotta go." I tell Seb. I don't wait for Seb to reply. I struggle through the crowd to get back the deck where I left Scotty. I find him sitting alone on the bench. I quietly go and sit next to him.

"Hi." I say. Scotty looks up instantly.

"Hey! You came back." Scotty says with his toothy smile.

"To be honest, I never wanted to leave. I'm sorry about Seb. I'm not really sure what that was about." I say to Scotty.

"It's alright. He likes you and I get that." Scotty says understandingly.

"Yeah but I like you." I say quietly.

"You what?" Scotty says as his smile widens.

"I know I just met you and stuff, but I like you. You've been nothing but nice to me and I have no idea why. And you're so cute. Like how are you that good looking? And you snowboard. How perfect is that? And I don't know I just like you and-" I ramble. I'm feeling a little nervous. Scotty grabs my face in his big hands and kisses me. I fall into his kiss instantly. All my nerves just sort of fade away.
"I'm so glad you came back." Scotty says once we break from our kiss.
