"How much further?" I ask Marcus in an annoyed tone.
"Stop asking so many questions." Marcus replies with a smile.
"We've been hiking for two freaking hours. I think I have the right to ask questions." I reply grumpily.
"I told you it's a surprise. Do you really want me to ruin the surprise?" Marcus asks as he takes my hand.
"This better be a really great surprise." I say, half kidding.
"It is! Now please patient. I promise we're almost there." Marcus tells me. I roll my eyes at him.
"You said than an hour ago." I say.
"Well this time I mean it." Marcus says as he kisses me on the cheek.
"Ok, ok. I believe you." I say to Marcus. We walk in silence for a few minutes until Marcus suddenly stops.
"Are you ready for the surprise?" Marcus asks as he tries to contain his grin. I nod at him. He takes my hand my once more and guides me through a couple trees. The first thing I see is a little campsite in the middle of the forest. There's a small tent surrounded a fire pit and chairs.
"We're camping?" I ask Marcus in a sweeter tone.
"Do you like it? I thought it would be really nice for us to spend the weekend together away from everyone and everything." Marcus explains. I lean over and kiss him. "That's the reaction I was hoping for."
"This is so sweet, Marcus." I tell him as we walk further into our little camp.
"I'm so happy you like it! I brought everything you love. I brought all your favorite snacks. I thought we could make s'mores tonight once it gets dark. I also brought a bunch of blankets in case you get cold. Of course I'll help keep you warm, but I brought lots blankets anyways. There's also a lake not too far from here if you want to go swimming or whatever." Marcus tells me. He seems so excited about this and it's adorable."You've thought of everything." I say.
"Yeah I have. I want this weekend to be perfect, because you're perfect. I know I don't get to spend as much time with you as you deserve, but I want you to know I love you. I love you and I'd do anything for you." Marcus says as he wraps his arm around my waist. He always says precious things like this. He's the kind of guy who always tells you how he feels about you. There's no guessing with him and I like that.
"I think you're perfect and I love you too." I tell Marcus and I snuggle in closer to him. He kisses the top of my head.
"What do you wanna do first, baby girl?" Marcus asks me.
"I want to make s'mores." I tell him.
"But it's still light out." Marcus counters. I look up at him with an overly dramatic pouty face.
"But there's no rule against eating s'mores during the daytime. Pleassssse?" I beg. He doesn't take much convincing.
"We can do whatever you want to do. I'll start the fire if you get out the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows." Marcus replies. I reach for his face and kiss him.
"Thank you." I say as we walk away from each other.
Marcus gets the fire started in no time. I'm actually really impressed. He looks so cute while he's being all outdoorsy.
"Ok I've gotten all the s'more stuff together. Are you ready to eat?" I ask Marus as he puts the finishing touches on the fire.
"Absolutely." He says. "Pass me a marshmallow please."
I stuff my face with three s'mores and Marcus does the same. I like look like an animal while I eat. There's no graceful way to eat these things.
"Aww babe you have marshmallow all over your face." Marcus tells me as slides closer to me.
"Oh no! Where?" I ask him. He uses his thumb to gently rub the marshmallow off my cheek. "Did you get it?"
"Not all of it. Let me try again." Marcus says as he brings his lips to my cheek. He begins kissing me all over my face.
"Get it?" I ask again.
"I think I almost got all of it." Marcus says between kisses. Eventually his lips end up meeting mine. I put my arms around his neck and allow him to keep kissing me.
"I think that's all of it." Marcus says as our lips separate.
"Nope. I think there's stilll more." I lie as I pull him back into the kiss. I just want to keep kissing him.
