"Hey you're pretty good at that." A beautiful blonde boy says to me, as I walk out of the water with my board under my arm. He's tall with tattoos covering his body.
"I should be, it's my job." I reply with a smile. I begin making my way up the beach and the beautiful boy follows me.
"I could tell you're a professional surfer. You're a natural. I've never surfed before..." The boy says as if he's hinting towards something more. "I'd love to learn though."
I've already been surfing all day and I'm exhausted, but this boy is cute. Like really cute. Maybe one little lesson wouldn't hurt.
"I could teach you a bit if you'd like." I tell the cute boy. A big toothy grin fills his face. "I'm y/n by the way."
"Thank you so much! I'd love that. I'm Mikkel. It's nice to meet you." The boy says excitedly as he shakes my hand.
I get him a board and then guide into the water. I teach him the basics. Nothing insane.
"Okay. I think I've got it." Mikkel says confidently. I laugh to myself. He's a beginner. There's no way he's 'got it'.
"Good luck." I say because I know he'll need it.
"Are you doubting my ability?" Mikkel asks jokingly as he pushes his fingers through his wet hair.
"Yeah I am little bit." I reply with a smirk.
"Well I'll just have to prove you wrong, surfer girl." Mikkel tells me as he prepares for his wave. I fall back so I can watch him attempt this wave. This should be interesting.
Mikkel's attempt turns out to be interesting for reasons I did not see coming. He unexpectedly catches his wave. He stands up no problem. He's a little wobbly, but he got it all the same. I watch with my mouth wide open in shock.
"YOU'VE SURFED BEFORE!" I yell to Mikkel as he paddles towards me. His toothy grin reappears.
"You never should've doubted me." Mikkel says with a smirk. I splash water at him.
"You lied to me!" I reply. It's clear that Mikkel isn't a pro, but he's definitely no stranger to a surfboard.
"Yeah I did. I'm sorry." Mikkel says. He doesn't seem sorry though as he continues smiling.
"How do you know how to surf?!" I ask him. I'm demanding answers here.
"I'm a pro snowboarder and I've also been surfing for years now." Mikkel explains as he splashes me back.
"Why did you lie to me? You obviously didn't need any lessons." I reply. Mikkel bites his bottom lip and smiles. He looks down at his board while he talks.
"I kinda just wanted to hang out with you, surfer girl. Looking back at it now, I probably could've just asked you out or something, but this was more fun. Wasn't it?" Mikkel says.
"Okay yes this was kinda fun. I'll give you that." I reply. Mikkel looks up from his board and back at me.
"So now that you've taken me surfing, I think it's only fair that I take you on a date. Would you like to go get a drink with me tonight?" Mikkel asks me as he runs his fingers through his hair again. I want to say yes instantly, but I also want to punish him for lying to me.
"No thanks." I say flatly as I start paddling into shore. I can't see Mikkel's face, but I can only imagine the look he has right now. I hold back a smile.
"I CAN'T TELL IF YOU'RE KIDDING OR NOT!" Mikkel calls out after me. I don't turn around. I raise my arm and wave at him telling him to follow me. "IS THAT A YES?"
"IT'S A YES!" I yell back him.
"OH THANK GOD!" Mikkel yells back as I hear him begin to paddle in behind me.
