"Can we pleaaaaase go inside now?"  I ask Marcus for the twelfth time.  We've been out in the cold for an hour now and I'm in desperate need of some warming up.

"Just a couple more videos!"  Marcus yells as he sets up for the next shot.  He's built a makeshift jump in his backyard and has me filming his tricks for Instagram or something.  There are a thousand things I'd rather be doing right now, but Marcus is my best friend and I barely get to see him, so I'm suffering in the name of true friendship.

"Fine.  But only two more videos!"  I shout back at him as I get the camera ready.  I give Marcus a thumbs up letting him know I'm good to go.  He takes off towards the jump and does some trick that knocks him onto his butt.  "That was lame."

"Shut up!"  Marcus says with a laugh as he stands up and knocks the snow off his butt.  "I'm gonna try that trick one more time."

"Okay but only one more!"  I tell him as I get the camera ready yet again.

"I'm gonna get it this time."  Marcus says confidently as he adjusts his goggles.  I roll my eyes.

"I'm sure you will."  I say with little enthusiasm.  He's tried this same trick probably thirty times and it never ends well.  "You ready?"

"Yupp!"  Marcus yells.  He takes off for the jump again and I hold the camera in position.  I watch as Marcus loses control and comes charging full speed towards me.  I don't have time to react before he comes crashing into me.  I fall hard backwards into the snow with Marcus lying on top of me.  We bust out laughing once the initial shock of the crash is over, but we don't move.

"You suck."  I tell Marcus as I continue laughing at his failed efforts.  Marcus keeps laughing too until he kisses me.  I didn't see it coming.  We were laughing and then he kissed me.

Marcus is still on top of me when our lips part.  I look up at him, unable to read his expression.

"What was that?"  I ask.  We've never kissed before.  This isn't normal for us.

"I wanted to kiss you."  Marcus tells me with a small smile.

"Okay..." I say slowly as I try processing what just happened.

"I didn't plan it."  He says.  "It just sort of happened."

I don't say anything for a moment.  What do I do now?  Do I kiss him again?  Do I want to kiss him again?

My questions are answered for me when Marcus starts kissing me again.  I kiss him back until I remember I'm lying in the cold ass snow.  I push him off me and then get up.  He's still on the ground as I pick up a snowball and chuck it him.

"Why are you kissing me?"  I ask him.

"I wanted to!"  Marcus answers with a smile, as he remains sitting in the snow.

"But we're just friends Marcus..." I remind him.

"Okay.  I won't kiss you anymore."  Marcus says with an overly dramatic pout face.  Now I'm suddenly regretting what I just said.  I guess I do maybe want to kiss him.  I don't know.

"I think I like you as more than a friend, y/n."  Marcus says casually as starts making a snow angel in the snow.  How is he being so chill about this?  I'm freaking out.  "I've been wanting to kiss you for a while now."

"Why didn't you tell me?"  I ask him as I throw another snowball at him. I need answers.  I can't be all chill and relaxed about this.  My best friend in the world just kissed me.  This is a big deal, right?

"Because I knew you'd act like this."  Marcus tells me with a laugh. I roll my eyes at him again.  I then jump onto him, taking him by surprise.  I lie on top of him with his back to the snow.  I want to ask him more questions, but at the same time I want to kiss him again, so I do.

"What was that?"  Marcus asks with his toothy grin.

"I wanted to kiss you."  I tell him.  We stop talking after that and go back to kissing.  I'll get my answers later, but right now I'm perfectly okay with what is happening.
