I woke up the next morning in a really good mood for some reason. I go to the bathroom to wash my face and do my hair before school. I then get dressed and head down the stairs because I hear my mom.
I grab my bags and bring them all to the living room downstairs. I got barely any sleep last night. I was up most of the time doing homework. Hanging out with Ryder took about two hours of my time to do homework.
Even though I went to bed way too late to be healthy for waking up this early, I was still in a good mood. I felt refreshed and even did a little bit of more makeup than usual. Only eyeshadow though, not very good at makeup.
Hanging out with Ryder last night was surprisingly fun. He was so sweet for making sure to get all of my favorite foods. We spent a lot of time joking around and having fun. I'm glad we didn't go too deep in conversation, don't want to say something I don't want him to know. I tend to ramble and say too much.
I walk into the kitchen to see my mother washing dishes. There is two plates on the table with hash browns and pancakes. I'm assuming she has time today to have breakfast before she leaves.
I love my mother, she's one of my best friends ever. She's never home, but when she is, it makes up for it. I tell her everything and we talk about things I sometimes can't talk to Zach or Marissa about because they just wouldn't understand.
When I was younger, I would spend a lot more time with her. I basically lived in a hospital growing up. I would go to school and Zach's mom would drop me off at the hospital after. I knew where everything was so I would meet up with my mom and follow her around the hospital.
The whole staff knew me and always said hello. When she would meet a patient, I would stand in the corner and sometimes she would even let me read off their chart to them with their permission. That's also how I was taught to read.
"Morning mom." I say as I sit down at the table.
"Morning Taylor. I didn't hear you come down." She says as she walks over and takes a seat across from me taking a bite from her food.
"Your going to work already? You just got back from a 24 hour shift."
"No I'm going to go grocery shopping and get a haircut today. I'm not very exhausted so I'm probably going to do things to keep me busy." She says continuing to eat.
"Can I skip school today and hang out with you? Please?" I say with puppy dog eyes. She narrows her eyes at me.
"Taylor, you know you have to go to school... besides, I think I'm going to meet up with your father today. So you wouldn't want to go anyways." I roll my eyes at the thought.
"Yeah, never mind. School sounds better. Why are you going to see him anyways?"
"I have to talk to him about our plan for you with college with finances and everything. Plus your senior expenses." I nod my head and change the subject. We continue to catch up with each other and our lives.
"So, that boy that walked you to the door last night, who was that?" My mom says leaning in to hear the gossip.
"No one, but his name is Ryder. We're just friends. We hung out in the park and came home. Not very interesting." I say sighing.
"Mhm. Well maybe you should be more than friends. I mean he bought your mother flowers when he came to hang out with you. That's what I call manners, he was raised right. I already approve." My mother says smirking.
